A total of 4000 scholarships are provided every year under the Pragati Scheme. Candidates are selected based on the qualifying examination merit. Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girls (Degree) for Technical Education 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girls (Degree) for Technical Education are given below.

• Candidates who are looking to apply must have been admitted to 1st year of the Degree or Diploma program in any of the AICTE approved institutes during the current Academic Year through the centralized admission process of the State/ Centre Government.
• Only one girl per family can take the benefits of this scholarship. However, the scholarship can also be extended for two girls per family in case the family income is less than 8 lakh per annum. In the case of a married girl, the income of in-laws/ parents will be considered whichever is higher.

Application form

The application form for the Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girls (Degree) for Technical Education will release in online mode only. Those who are seeking this school need to submit the application form through the official website i.e.  www.aicte-pragati-saksham-gov.in.

Important Documents

The application form must be submitted along with the following document.

• Scanned copies of mark sheet of standard Xth / XIIth / Others as applicable and as filled up. (mandatory)
• Scanned Copy Annual Family Income Certificate for the current Financial Year in the prescribed format issued by Tahsildar or higher officer. (mandatory)
• Copy of admission letter to Diploma/Degree course. (mandatory)
• Copy of Tuition Fee Receipt, showing clearly and separately the amount of tuition fee paid. (mandatory)
• Copy of Bank Pass Book showing the name of the student, Account number, IFSC code and Photograph pasted at appropriate place duly signed by Manager with a rubber stamp of Bank affixed(mandatory)
• Certificate issued by the Director/Principal/Head of the institute  (mandatory)
• Copy of AADHAR card
• Attested Copy of SC/ST/OBC Certificate. (mandatory in case of candidates claiming benefits of reservation policy)

Amount of Scholarship

The amounts to be awarded under this scholarship are as follows.

• The student will get the Tuition fee of Rs. 30000/- or at actual whichever is less.
• Plus, Rs. 2000/- per month for 10 months as incidentals each year.

Selection Process and Reservation

• The students will be selected on the basis of merit at the qualifying examination.
• The reservation will be provided to the students of different categories as given below.
  • SC candidates: 15%
  • ST candidates: 7.5%
  • OBC candidates: 27%
