Financial Assistance for Education of the Wards of Beedi/ Cine/ IOMC/ LSDM Workers – Pre-Matric 2024

Children of those employed as Beedi/ Cine/ IOMC/ LSDM workers are eligible for financial assistance made available by the Ministry of Labor and Employment. Interested candidates who also meet the prescribed eligibility requirement can apply for this scholarship through online mode. the last date to apply for the scholarship will be tentatively in January 2024. Eligibility Criteria

  • Either of the parents of the students should be a beedi, iron ore manganese & chrome ore mines, limestone & dolomite mines, cine worker with at least six months service.
  • Children of those working on a contract basis or Gharkhata workers are also eligible for this scholarship.
  • Total monthly Income of the candidate’s family from all sources should not exceed Rs. 10000/- for beedi and mine workers and Rs. 8000/- for cine workers.
  • The applicant must have passed the last qualifying examination in first attempt.
  • Those who are pursuing their studies through correspondence are not eligible to apply.

Application Process

  • The candidates can apply for the scholarship award through online mode by visiting the National Scholarship Portal.
  • To fill the application form, the candidates will be required to provide their personal as well as academic details.
  • Details related to the bank account should also be provided at the time of application.
  • Scanned copies of important documents should also be uploaded into the application form.
  • After all the details are entered successfully, the candidates can submit the application online.

Important Documents

The following documents should be uploaded at the time of making the application:

  • Photograph of the candidate
  • Copy of the Identity card of the worker (Form B Register Number in case of Mine workers)
  • Copy of front page of Bank Pass Book or Cancelled Cheque (which should contain details of the account holder/ beneficiary)
  • Passing Certificate/ Mark Sheet of previous Academic Year
  • Income Certificate issued by the Revenue Authority

Candidates will be selected for the scholarship award on the basis of means.
