The aim of the Financial Assistance for Education of the Wards of Beedi/ Cine/ IOMC/ LSDM Workers – Post Matric is to help and the wards of Beedi/ Cine/ LSDM/ IOMC workers to continue their studies. Those candidates who want to avail benefits of this scheme need to fill the online application form through the National security portal. Before filling the application form, candidates must check the eligibility norms very carefully. Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria to be fulfilled for getting this scholarship is given below.

  • Either one of the parents of the candidate must be a Beedi, Iron Ore Manganese & Chrome Ore Mines, Limestone & Dolomite Mines, Cine worker with a minimum of six months service. This also includes Gharkhata/ Contract workers.

Family Income

The monthly income of the family from all sources must not exceed as under.

  • Beedi Workers: Rs. 10000/- per month
  • Mine Workers
    • The Mine workers doing manual, unskilled, highly skilled and clerical work are eligible for availing all facilities under different welfare schemes of Labour Welfare Organization irrespective of the wages paid to them.
    • The persons employed in supervisory and managerial capacity are eligible for availing the facilities under different welfare scheme in case their monthly income is less than Rs. 10000/-
  • Cine Workers: Rs. 8000/- per month

Educational Qualification

  • The candidate must have taken regular admission for studies at recognized institutions in India in any technical/ non-technical course including medical, engineering and agricultural studies.
  • Aspirants should have cleared the last qualifying examination in the first attempt.

How to apply?

The application form for this scheme will release online through the National Scholarships portal i.e. scholarships.gov.in. Interested and eligible candidates need to fill and submit the application form before the last. Please enter authentic details in the application before because the authorities will verify the documents later on.

Important Documents

The following documents must be submitted along with the application form.

  • Photograph of the candidate
  • Copy of the Identity card of the worker (Form B Register Number in case of Mine workers).
  • Copy of front page of Bank Pass Book or Cancelled Cheque(which should contain details of the account holder/beneficiary)
  • Passing Certificate/Mark Sheet of previous Academic Year
  • Income Certificate issued by the Revenue Authority
