KMAT

Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges’ Association (KPPGCA) will organize an entrance test to select the eligible candidates for admission into PGDM/ MBA and MCA courses. This test known as Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) will be conducted as a state level entrance test. Those who qualify the exam will be eligible for admission into different Karnataka based institutes accepting the KMAT 2024 score. No mode, other than online, will be provided for filling and submitting the application form.

KMAT 2024 Overview

  • Candidates are advised to check their eligibility criteria before they proceed towards application process
  • No change in the application form will be possible after final submission and therefore must be filled carefully.
  • The applicants should strictly follow the instructions mentioned on their admit card.
  • Scores of KMAT will be accepted by more than 169 well-known AICTE-approved business schools all over the Karnataka state.
  • In case of any kind of query related to KMAT application, result, admit card, etc, the candidates must contact KPPGCA through phone or email.
  • Exam fee will be refundable only if it is paid twice for the same course.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following criteria in order to be eligible for KMAT 2024:

MBA/ PGDM:

  • The candidates should hold a minimum 3-year bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree from a recognized university/ institute in the field of Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering, Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ ST candidate) in the qualifying exam are also required.
  • Candidates in their final year of bachelor’s or master’s degree program are eligible to apply too.

MCA:

  • Those with a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university/ institute with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks can apply.
  • It is mandatory for the candidates to have studied Mathematics at 10+2 stage or at graduation level.
  • The applicants in the final year of their bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply for the MCA program.

KMAT 2024 Application Form

The application form for KMAT 2024 will be released on the official website kmatindia.com. Those who meet the eligibility requirements for the MBA/ PGDM and MCA can submit the application for the specific program in online mode.

  • Personal information such as name, father’s name, category, gender, address, phone number, etc of the candidates will be asked in the form.
  • Candidates will also have to provide details of the qualifying exam like passing year, percentage of marks obtained, university name, etc.
  • Scanned copies of candidates’ signature and photograph will be uploaded in the application form as well.
  • The candidates will also be asked to provide one choice of city where thet want to appear for the exam.
  • Application form complete with all details can be submitted along with the required application fee.
  • After submission, the candidates are advised to take a printout of the application and keep it with them for any future correspondence.

Application fee:

  • The application fee will be Rs. 800/- and will be non-refundable.
  • Payment of application fee can be done online via debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

Admit Card

  • Candidates will be able to download their admit card for KMAT exam from the official website.
  • The applicants should download and take a printout of the admit card and paste a photograph on it.
  • Admit card along with a valid identity proof must be carried by the candidates reporting for the exam.
  • Absence of these documents will render the candidates ineligible for appearing in the exam.
  • Details of the exam center and timing will be communicated to the candidates through their admit card.

Result

  • The result of the entrance test will be declared in online mode hopefully in the month of July 2024.
  • Candidates will be able to check their result and download their score card using their application number and date of birth.
  • A merit list of the qualified candidates will be prepared by the authorities on the basis of marks scored in the entrance exam.
  • Counseling and further admission process will be carried out as per the names on the candidates in this list.

Counselling

  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend the counselling process where they can provide their choice for course and institute.
  • Candidates must report for counseling according to the schedule communicated to them through the official website.
  • The candidates must also carry with them the important documents as they will also be verified at the time of counseling.
  • Seats will be allotted to the candidates after successful verification based on their ranking and choice made.
  • Selected candidates will then have to report to the allotted institute to complete the admission formality.
