Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must be pursuing a professional or technical course at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
  • A minimum of 50% marks in the previous year examination is mandatory.
  • Annual family income from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2 lakh.
  • Candidate should have secured admission on the basis of competitive entrance exam or must have scored at least 50% in class 12 or graduation as applicable (in case of direct admission).

Application Process

  • The application form for this scholarship will be made available on the National Scholarship Portal.
  • Candidates need to provide their personal, academic and bank details into the application form.
  • After providing these details, the application form can be submitted and an application number and password will be generated for future correspondence.

Important Documents

The candidates need to upload scanned copies of the following documents in the application form:

    • Photograph of the student
    • Income certificate issued by the competent authority of the concerned state/ UT
    • Self-declaration of minority community certificate by the student
    • Self-attested copy of previous year mark sheet
    • Fee receipt of current course year
    • Scanned copy of Aadhaar Card or Aadhaar Enrollment
    • Bank account number of the student or parents/ guardian along with the IFSC Code of the bank branch
    • Residential/ Domicile Certificate

Selection Process

Selection of candidates for awarding the scholarship will be done on the basis of their financial needs.

Rate of scholarship

  • Tuition fee: Rs. 20,000/- per annum or actual, whichever is less (for both Hostellers and Day Scholars)
  • Maintenance allowance: Rs. 1000/- per month for Hostellers and Rs. 500/- per month for Day Scholars (for 10 months)
