Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2025XAT 2025 application form will release in online mode. XAT stands for Xavier Aptitude Test. It is one of the top MBA admission tests in India. The exam is conducted by XLRI on behalf of Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). This exam is a gateway to admission to some of the Top MBA institutes in India including XLRI, KJ Somaiya, IMT Ghaziabad, etc.

XAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Before filling out the application form, candidates must ensure that they meet the following eligibility criteria.

Nationality Criteria

  • All Indian Candidates, NRIs, and Foreign Nationals are allowed to apply for XLRI admission.
  • Please note that NRI and Foreign Candidates can also apply on the basis of their GMAT scores (except Dubai and Kathmandu aspirants who have the option to directly appear for XAT)

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree of at least 3 years duration or equivalent from a recognized institute.
  • Final year students are also eligible to apply for admission.
  • There is no minimum aggregate marks criteria in order to apply for the XAT exam.
  • You should note that all backlogs must be cleared in order to get admission.

Age Limit

  • There is no upper or lower age limit.

Number of attempts

  • There is no restriction on the number of attempts.

XAT 2025 Application Form

Interested and eligible candidates who are looking to apply for this test need to submit the application form online. The complete process of XAT Application Form submission 2025 is explained below.

  • First of all, you need to register on the official website i.e. www.xatonline.in and register.
  • You must provide your name, email ID, contact details and set a password at the time of the registration.
  • Then you need to verify the email address that you have provided during registration by clicking on the verification link.
  • After verification, you will be able to access the main application form.
  • In the main application form, you must enter your academic and personal details. Kindly note that entering incorrect information can result in the rejection of the application form.
  • Apart from the details, you are supposed to upload scanned images of your photograph, signature and work experience details.
    • Photograph – Between 20KB-50KB in size and JPG or JPEG format, 200 x 230 pixels (preferred)
    • Signature – Between 20KB-50KB in size and JPG or JPEG format, 140 x 60 pixels (preferred)
  • Next, you must choose the XLRI programme as per your preference if you want to study in XLRI and choose 2 preferred test cities.
  • Pay the required application fee in the next step.
  • Finally, take a printout of the confirmation page generated and the fee receipt.

Application Fee

The application fees are different for candidates from various categories as shown below.

  • XAT Registration Fee (without late fee) – Rs. 1800/- (Students  interested in XLRI programmes needs to pay an additional fee of Rs. 300/-each)
  • XAT Registration Fee (with late fee) – Rs 2100/- ( interested in XLRI programmes needs to pay an additional fee of Rs. 500/-each)
  • Indian Candidates applying for Ex- PGDM through GMAT- Rs. 2500/-
  • NRI/Foreign Candidates applying for one or more programmes through GMAT- Rs. 5000/-

Mode of application fee payment – Aspirants can pay the application fee online using methods like Debit Cards (RuPay / Visa / Master Card / Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets

XAT 2025 Admit Card

  • Candidates will be able to download their admit card online through the official website of XAT i.e. Xatonline.in.
  • The institute will release admit cards only for those candidates who will fill out the application form and pay the application fee before the last date.
  • An admit card will carry crucial information like the date, time, and venue of the examination centre.
  • The examination authority will not allow any candidate to enter the examination centre without a valid admit card and one photo ID proof in original.
  • You should keep the admit card safe even after the exam because it can be required at the time of admission.

XAT 2025 Exam Pattern

The pattern of the XAT 2025 examination is given below.

    • 1 mark for every correct answer
    • -0.10 marks for an unattempted questions after every 8 unattempted questions.
    • -0.25 marks for every incorrect answer
    • There is no negative marking in Part 2

XAT 2025 Answer Key

  • The provisional answer keys will be made available a few days after the examination.
  • With the help of answer keys, candidates can get a rough idea about the marks they are going to secure in the XAT 2025.
  • In case a candidate is not satisfied with the answer key then he/ she can challenge the same.
  • The final answer keys will be released online after considering all the challenges submitted against the provisional answer keys.

Result and Admission

  • The result will be prepared on the basis of the final answer key.
  • To download XAT 2025 scorecard you will have to provide your Registration Number, Date of Birth and Security Text.
  • The scorecard will carry information about the subject wise and total marks secured by candidates in the entrance exam.
  • Those successful candidates who will score more than XAT cut off marks will be shortlisted for further rounds of selection i.e. GD, PI, and WAT.
  • The admission will be offered on the basis of the overall performance of candidates including all rounds of admission. The weightage of each round of the selection process is given below.
    • XAT score – 60%
    • GD/ PI round – 25%
    • Other factors (GK Score, Academics, Video, Work experience) – 10%
