The Indian Navy Entrance Test or INET is administered by various Permanent Service Commission (PSC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) departments of the Indian Navy. It is a national-level entrance exam organized twice a year.

It is conducted for the selection of officers for the Educational, Executive, and technical branches and entry of the Indian Navy. The entrance exam will be conducted in three stages including a written exam, SSB interview, and physical medical test.

INET Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy the necessary eligibility criteria before applying for the INET exam 2024. The details regarding INET Eligibility criteria are as follows.

INET Exam Application Form 2024

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the INET Exam through online mode only. Candidates are advised to read the important instructions before filling out the application form.

Candidates should visit the official website of Indian Navy and first complete the registration process.

While online registration, two options will appear on the page asking for “Register with Aadhaar ID” or “Register without Aadhaar.” Candidates must choose the appropriate one and then proceed further.

Candidates have to provide their contact number and ID proof details.

Candidates should enter basic contact information such as name, phone number, email address, etc., along with educational qualifications.

Upload the important documents such as a photograph and signature as per the given dimensions.

Make the payment of the necessary application fee to complete the application process.

The application fee can be paid via online mode. For the general category, the application fee is Rs 215 and for the female/SC/ST & pwD category, there will be no application fee.

INET Exam 2024 Admit Card

The authority will release the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) admit card to the registered candidates only. The admit card will be available one or two weeks before the date of the entrance exam. Candidates will be able to download the admit card from the official website by entering their email address and password.

The INET admit card will comprise exam-related information such as the date & time of the exam, exam centre, candidate’s name, and roll number, etc. Candidates must carry the admit card along with one photo ID proof to the exam centre.

INET Exam Result 2024

The conducting body will announce the result through online mode. Candidates who appeared in the exam will be allowed to check/download the result from INET official website by using their login details. Candidates should keep the hard copy of their INET scorecard safe with them for future use.

Based on INET Results, the candidates will be selected for SSB. The final merit list will be prepared by the authority based on the combined marks of the INET exam (50 percent weightage) and SSB (50 percent weightage).

INET cutoff marks 2024

After the announcement of the result, INET cut-off marks will be announced by the board. The cutoff marks are the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to achieve in order to clear the exam. The INET exam cutoff marks will be announced separately for various posts and departments.

INET Selection Process

The INET Selection process will include four stages such as a written exam, SSB Interview, medical exam, merit list, and appointment letter. Candidates who clear the written test will be shortlisted for the SSB interview round.

Thereafter, selected candidates will have to go through a medical exam organized by the authority. Based on the candidate’s performance in the written exam, SSB interview, and medical exam a final merit list will be published by the authority.
