VITEEE Application Form (Released) – Application Dates, How to apply, Application fee

VITEEE stands for Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination. This entrance exam is conducted by VIT to select candidates for admission to its UG engineering courses. Those interested candidates who want to apply need to submit the VITEEE Application Form before the last date. The application form will release in online mode. The institute will also release an OMR application form in offline mode. Aspirants must make sure that they meet VITEEE Eligibility Criteria before the last date. How to apply for VITEEE?

The step by step process of VITEEE Application Process 2022 is explained below.

1st Step – New User Registration

  • First of all, you will have to visit the official website i.e. https://viteee.vit.ac.in/
  • On the official website, you will have to register as a new user by providing the following details.
    • Candidate’s Name
    • Residential Status – Indian/ PIO/ OCI/ NRI
    • Date of Birth
    • Gender
    • Mobile Number
    • Email Address
    • Verification Code (Captcha Code)
  • After entering all the details mentioned above, you will get an OTP on your Registered Indian Mobile Number for verification.
  • You need to verify this OTP by entering it on the official website. Then, you will receive an OTP on your registered email address for verification.
  • All the correspondence shall be made to the registered email address and mobile number only.

2nd Step – Sign in for registered users

  • Once the registration process gets over, you need to login by entering your registered email address and the password received from VIT.
  • The password will be generated after registration.

3rd Step – Filling Online Application Form

  • The main application form will display on your screen after the sign-in process.
  • In the main application form, you will have to provide all the required details. A few of the details that you need to enter are as follows.
    • Educational details –  Year of passing qualifying marks, marks secured in the qualifying marks, institute from which the qualifying exam is passed, etc.
    • Personal Details – Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of birth, Category, Sub-category, etc.
    •  Contact details – Permanent Address, Correspondence Address, email address, phone number, etc.
  • An Application Number will be generated after filling primary details.
  • You should note this application number for your future correspondence.

4th Step – Pay the application fee

  • After filling the application form, you need to pay the required application fee.
  • The application fee is the same for all candidates i.e. Rs. 1250/-
  • For Abroad test center, you will have to pay USD 50 in INR
  • Please note that application cost is non-refundable.

5th Step – Photo and Signature upload

  • After paying the application fee, you need to upload scanned images of candidate’s photograph and signature.
  • The scanned images should be in .jpg format.
  • The size of the images is given below.
    • Photograph – 10 kb to 200 kb (3.5 cm width x 4.5 height)
    • Signature –  10 kb to 200 kb (3.5 cm width x 1.5 cm height)
  • You may submit the application form after uploading the images.

6th Step – Download the filled-in application form

  • Finally, you may download and save the filled-in application for your reference and further correspondence.
  • Please note that there is no need to send hard copy of the filled-in Application Form to VIT.

Offline Application Form (OMR Application form)

  • Apart from online, candidates can apply offline through the OMR Application Form.
  • Candidates may purchase the OMR application form from the institutes’ campuses.
  • Important instructions are printed on the back side of the OMR sheet. Please read these instructions carefully before filling the form.
  • Do not write or make any mark on the barcode available on the application form.
  • In the application form, you need to put your name and date of birth exactly as mentioned on your high school/ 10+2/ Intermediate/ Pre-University examination certificate.
  • Make sure that you enter details like mailing address and mobile number. Remember, all communication will be sent to the email address, and mobile number mentioned on the application form.
  • The application form should be complete in all aspects before submitting.
  • Make sure you fill the application form in your own handwriting and English language.
  • The duly filled application form should be enclosed in the envelope to be provided along with the application form and should be sent through registered post or speed post.
  • Kindly note down the ten-digit application number for your future requirements.

Application Correction

  • Once the application form process gets over, VIT will provide a correction window to fix mistakes that applicants will commit while filling the form.
  • Remember, the correction window will be available for a limited time only.
  • Only a few details can be modified using the correction window.
  • Any Correction in the application form will not be possible after the closure of the correction window.

Question – 1: Apart from the website or OMR application form, is there any other way by which I can apply for the VITEEE examination?

Answer: Yes, you can also submit the application form through the mobile app of VIT.

Question – 2: I have submitted the application form but don’t want to take admission. Can I get my application fee back?

Answer: No, the application fee is non-refundable.

Question – 3: Will I get the admit card by post after submitting the application form offline or online?

Answer: No, all candidates need to download the admit card through the official website only.

Answer: No, the application form is common for all branches of engineering.
