TANCET 2022: Application Form (Live), Exam Date (Released), Eligibility Criteria

TANCETAnna University conducts Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) for admission to MBA, MCA, ME, M.Tech, M.Arch and M.Plan degree programmes. These programmes are offered by Government, Government Aided and self-financing Colleges of Tamil Nadu state. Application form for the entrance exam will be released on 30th March 2022 through online mode. TANCET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for different courses under TANCET 2022 are provided below:

  • ME/ M.Tech: The candidates should hold a BE/ B.Tech degree in relevant field from a recognized university scoring a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks for reserved category candidates).
  • M.Arch/ M.Plan: Applicants with a B.Arch or B.Plan degree from a recognized university with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks for reserved category candidates) are eligible.
  • MBA: Those who hold a bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university and have scored a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks for reserved category candidates) can apply.
  • MCA: A bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks for reserved category candidates) is required. Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 or graduation level is also required.

TANCET Application Form 2022

The application form for TANCET 2022 is available from March 30, 2022. Candidates can fill and submit their application form through online mode by visiting the official website of the Anna University www.annauniv.edu.

  • To fill the application form, the candidates will have to provide their basic personal and academic details.
  • Scanned copies of candidates’ photograph and signature should also be uploaded in the application form.
  • After providing all the information into the application form, the candidates should submit it online with the prescribed application fee.
  • The application form must be submitted on or before the last date as late applications will not be considered.
  • The candidates must take a hard copy of the duly filled application form and keep it safe with them in case of future reference.
  • There is no need to send the application form copy or any other documents to the university.

Application fee:

  • The candidates need to pay an amount of INR 500 (INR 250/- for SC/ SCA/ ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) as TANCET application fee.
  • Payment of the application fee can be done through online mode using debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

The exam pattern overview for TANCET 2022 is given below:

  • Mode of exam: Offline mode
  • Exam duration: 120 minutes
  • Number of questions: 100 (for MBA & MCA) and 115 (for ME/ M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Plan)
  • Type of question: Objective type
  • Total marks: 100
  • Marking scheme: One mark will be awarded for every right answer.
  • Negative marking: One-third marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

TANCET Admit Card 2022

  • Admit card will be released for the candidates who successfully submit the application for the entrance exam.
  • Candidates will be able to download the admit card from the official website of Anna University.
  • Link to download the admit card will be made available around one week before the date of the exam.
  • The candidates should take a printout of the downloaded admit card to carry it to the exam center along with a valid id proof.
  • Any candidate reporting to the exam center without these documents will not be allowed to write the exam.

Result

  • Authority will declare the result of the entrance exam on the official website in the month of June 2022 (tentatively).
  • A list of the qualified candidates will also be made on the basis of their marks in the entrance exam.
  • The candidates with their names in this list will be invited to participate in the counseling process.
  • There might not be any provision for revaluation or rechecking of the entrance exam result.

TANCET Counseling 2022

  • Candidates should appear for the counseling round as per the schedule intimated to them via the official website.
  • Documents of the candidates will be verified and therefore they should carry all their documents in original.
  • After all the documents are verified successfully, seats will be allotted to the candidates.
  • Choice for institute will also be asked from the candidates before allotting seats to them.
  • Candidates who are allotted seats need to report to the allotted institute and complete the formalities of admission.

FAQs

Question 1: My qualifying exam results are not out yet. Can I still apply for the exam?

Answer: Yes. Candidates whose qualifying exam results will be declared before the starting of the admission process are eligible to apply for TANCET 2022.

Question 2: Can I apply for admission to more than one programme?

Answer: If a candidate desires to appear for more than one programme, for every additional programme, he/ she has to pay Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC/ SCA/ ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu state).

Question 3: Can a candidate from outside Tamil Nadu state apply for TANCET?

Answer: Other state candidates can appear for the entrance test, but the eligibility conditions will be stipulated by the admitting authority/ university.

Question 4: Is it possible to make changes in the exam center allotted to me?

Answer: The exam center once allotted cannot be changed under any circumstances. Details of the exam center allotted to the candidates will be mentioned in their admit card.

Question 5: What if I fail to appear for the admission process in the given time limit?

Answer: Candidates who fail to report for the admission process in the given time limit will be considered as disqualified and will not be granted admission under any condition.

    semester exam. Although he will eligible for this exam?.
