The eligibility criteria for any entrance examination are set of rules and conditions which a candidate needs to fulfill in order to appear in the exam. The Railway Recruitment Board Non Technical Popular Categories (RRB NTPC) will organize an entrance test for the recruitment of graduates under various posts such as goods guard, commercial apprentice (CA), junior accounts assistant cum typist (JAA), traffic apprentice (TA), senior clerk cum typist, enquiry cum reservation clerk (ECRC), assistant station master (ASM).

Nationality

Candidates, who want to apply for the RRB NTPC Exam, they

  • Must be Indian nationals
  • Must be subject of Bhutan or
  • Must be subject of Nepal or
  • A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention to be permanently settled down in India
  • Person of Indian origin migrated from Sri Lanka, Burma, Pakistan, and East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (previously Zanzibar and Tanganyika), Zambia, Uganda, Malawi, Ethiopia, Zaire and Vietnam with the purpose of permanently settling in India

Required educational qualification for RRB NTPC Exam

  • Interested applicants should have passed the required educational qualification with minimum qualifying steps to be eligible to apply for the RRB NTPC exam. The minimum educational qualification is decided by the recruiter of the exam.
  • A candidate should have done graduation from a university or any institute recognized by the Parliament or State Legislature.
  • Those who are applying for the posts of Senior Clerk cum Typist (SCT), Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist (JAA), and Time Keeper (TK) should have expertise in Hindi as well as English Typing.
  • No relaxation will be given in the minimum educational/academic qualification.

Age Limit: Aspirant should satisfy the upper and lower age limit.

  • Age of candidates should be between 18 to 33 years.
  • There will be relaxation in upper age limit for candidates from reserved category while the lower birth date is same for all applicants.

Those who are working in Quasi-Administrative offices of Railway organization will be given relaxation in upper age limit up to the length of service rendered, depending on maximum of 5 years.
