Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India is responsible for organizing the LIC ADO recruitment exam to fill the vacancies for the post of Apprentice Development Officer. LIC ADO Vacancies Details

It is expected that vacancies for LIC ADO 2024 to be released in January 2024 along with the official notification. A total of 9394 vacancies will be released with the notification. Candidates can check the zone-wise vacancy details from the table below.

LIC ADO Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to satisfy the necessary LIC ADO eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The details regarding the eligibility criteria are as follows:

Age limit

The age of candidates should be between 21 years to 30 years. The relaxation in age is given to candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Experience requirements

For LIC Employees: They must have at least 3 years of service in a Grade III post.

For LIC Agent: Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience as an agent or as a DSE/FSE.

Others: Candidates having at least 2 years of experience in the LIC industry will be given preference.

Educational Qualification:

The applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University in India approved for the fellowship of the Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.

LIC ADO Salary

An Apprentice Development Officer is provided with a monthly salary of Rs. 34,503/-. The total salary is comprehensive of House Rent Allowance and City Compensatory Allowance will be around 56000/- in ‘A’ Class City.

For Open Category

It consists of three papers i.e., Reasoning Ability & Numerical Ability, Paper-2 (General Knowledge, Current Affairs and English Language), and Paper-3 (Insurance and Financial Marketing Awareness with special emphasis on knowledge of Life Insurance and Financial Sector.

Each paper will consist of 50 questions.

The duration of exam will be 120 minutes.

For Agents Category

The duration of the exam is 120 minutes. It comprises three papers as follows:

Paper-1 (Reasoning Ability & Numerical Ability): There will be 25 questions for 10 marks.

Paper II (General Knowledge, Current Affairs, and English Language): It includes 25 questions for 15 marks.

Paper III (Elements of Insurance and Marketing of Insurance): consist of 50 questions for 125 marks.

For Employee category

The duration of the exam is 120 minutes. It comprises three papers as follows:

Paper-I (Reasoning Ability & Numerical Ability): It consists of 25 questions for 25 marks.

Paper-II (General Knowledge, Current Affairs, and English Language): It includes 25 questions for 25 marks.

Paper-III (Practice and Principle of Insurance Marketing): This paper comprises 50 questions for 100 marks.

LIC ADO 2024 Admit Card

The authority will release the LIC ADO admit card separately for both exam phases. For the prelim’s exam, the admit card will be released in March 2024 and for the Mains exam the admit card will be issued in August 2024.

Candidates should note that the authority will release the Mains exam, admit card to those candidates only who successfully clear the prelims exam. Admit card is an important document that candidates must carry to the examination centre on the day of the exam.

LIC ADO Selection Process

The selection process includes three stages i.e., Entrance Test (prelims & mains), Personal Interview, and Medical Test.

Candidates who clear the prelims and mains entrance exam with the minimum cutoff marks will be invited for a personal interview round. The candidate’s reasoning and thinking capability skills will be evaluated during the interview round.

After the interview round, a medical test will be conducted for the shortlisted candidates. Applicants who pass the medical test will be selected for the post of Apprentice Development Officer.
