Jharkhand ITI Admission 2022

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) will soon be releasing the official notification for Jharkhand ITI admission 2022. Candidates interested in pursuing a trade (engineering/non-engineering) offered by the industrial training institutes (ITIs) located in the state need to fill the application form. The form will most likely be released in the 4th week of April 2022. Before heading over to the online form, candidates need to ensure that they fit the eligibility requirements laid down by the authority. Admission in different ITI trades will be subjected to the performance of the candidates in the concerned qualifying examination i.e. class 8th/ 10th (as per the trades).

Jharkhand ITI admission 2022-Highlights

  • Candidates can apply for Jharkhand ITI only through the online mode. The board will not be releasing printed application form for submission purpose or otherwise.
  • In order to fill the form, it is mandatory for the candidates to have a valid email id and phone number.
  • Candidates should avoid filling multiple applications. The application fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for admission based on the eligibility criteria stated for the concerned trade.
  • Separate merit lists (for class 8th/10th trades) will be prepared by the board displaying the names of the candidates qualified for appearing in the counselling.
  • Such candidates must attend the counselling where a seat will be allocated to them based on a number of parameters.

Application form

To fill the application form, candidates need to visit the official website of the board i.e. www.jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. The application form will ask for details such as- name, father’s name, phone number, email id, address, date of birth, educational details and other relevant information. The details provided by the candidates should be correct and match the official records. If at any stage of the admission process, the information given by the candidates is found to be misleading, then such candidates won’t be given admission.

Applicants will be asked to upload their latest scanned passport-sized photograph, left-hand thumb impression and signature. There will be no provision for editing the particulars in the online form once it is submitted successfully. Applicants need no send the printout of the filled-in form to the authority by post or any other medium. Incomplete applications or those received without the required application fee shall be rejected by the authority.

Application fee: General/OBC candidates need to pay Rs. 400/- as the application fee. Female candidates and those belonging to SC/ST category are required to pay Rs. 200/-. Payment of the stated fee can be done through credit card, debit card and net banking.

Eligibility criteria- Jharkhand ITI admission 2022

Candidates can check their eligibility status for admission in Jharkhand ITI from the information given below-

  • Domicile: Only those candidates can apply for admission who are domicile of Jharkhand or falls in the category of local resident of Jharkhand.
  • Age criteria: The age of the candidates should fall between 14 years and 40 years as on 1st July 2022. The upper age limit for widows of serviceman who died while on active duty is 45 years.
  • Educational qualification
    • For welder, carpenter, mason, sheet metal worker, and wireman trades: Candidates must have passed class 8th from a recognized board.
    • For other trades: Candidates should have passed class 10th examination or its equivalent from a recognized board/university.

Note: Only medically fit candidates will be considered for admission in ITI trades offered by private and government industrial training institutes.

Merit list

  • The board will prepare two separate merit list for shortlisting the candidates for admission.
  • One merit list will be for the trades where the minimum requirement is class 8th and other for class 10th.
  • Candidates who have passed class 10th will be given the choice to select any one trade either from the trade where passing in class 8th is required or from the trade where passing in class 10th is required.

Counselling

  • Based on the merit list prepared by the board, the authority will conduct a counselling session where those shortlisted candidates will be invited.
  • Such candidates need to specify the course and institute in which they wish to get enrolled.
  • Candidates will be allotted a seat based on the following factors- merit rank, number of available seats, choice filled during the counselling and fulfillment of eligibility criteria.
  • Candidates need to report to the institute allotted to them as per the schedule stated in their provisional allotment letter to finish admission related formalities.
  • The schedule of the counselling will be published on the official website of the board. Candidates need to keep tabs on the website for fresh updates related to the counselling.
