CDS 2023: Application Form (Starts from 21 Dec) , Exam Date, Syllabus, Eligibility Criteria

CDS 2023: Not to mention that the candidates who want to make their career in defence services can apply for Combined Defence Services (CDS 2023). UPSC will publish the notification for CDS 1 2023 on 21st December 2022. All the eligible aspirants can apply for the examination and can stand in the queue of country’s honor and pride.

CDS 2021 application form is to be available from 21st December 2022.

CDS 2023 Schedule

Since the examination will be in two phases, therefore, there will be two notifications for the same. In the given table, candidates can find out all the crucial dates regarding the CDS exam, 2023.

Note: The key thing to note is that all the dates mentioned in the table above are true and fixed but tentative as well. It is the UPSC which has the final decision to set the dates and timetable of the schedule of the examination.

CDS 2023 Application Form

The selection process starts with the submission of the application form. First, candidates will have to submit the filled application forms. The application will be available on the official website of UPSC. Furthermore, candidates can find out the guidelines in the following points:

  • Candidates can apply for the CDS exam thru the official website of UPSC.
  • The application form will ask all the personal and academic details from the candidates.
  • Candidates will have to upload the scanned photo and signature along with the application form.
  • After that, candidates will make the payment of application fee also.
  • The application fee will be of Rs. 200 favor the candidates of general category and reserved category will get the exemption from the fee.

Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the examination, candidates need to make sure that they are eligible to apply for the same. As a rule, candidates need to attain minimum educational qualifications to be eligible to apply for CDS Exam, 2023.

  • Not to point out that candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
  • Besides, the subject of Nepal and Bhutan can also apply for the exam.
  • In addition, he must have completed his graduation from any recognized university.
  • Except all, candidates’ age must be between 20 to 24 years.

CDS 2023 Exam Pattern

UPSC will conduct the CDS exam in two phases. As usual, only those candidates will be allowed to appear in the second phase of the exam, who has passed the first phase. Here are the details about the CDS examination pattern:

For Admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Air Force Academy:

It is the key thing to remember that candidates will have to appear for Group Discussion and PI as well after qualifying the written exam.

CDS 2023 Result

The final dates for releasing CDS result has not confirmed yet. It will be notified to you shortly. All the successful candidates will have to appear for the GD and PI. The final result of the candidates will be available in the month of March/April 2023.
