AIPVT 2022: All India Pre Veterinary Test

AIPVTAIPVT 2022: The Veterinary Council of India (VCI) will be conducting the counselling for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H course under 15% All India quota seats. Admission in the said programme will be done according to the NEET score obtained by the candidates. Candidates need to apply for AIPVT 2022 by filling the online registration form. The council will most probably release the form in the 3rd week of August 2022. Candidates are required to check their eligibility, fee structure of the colleges before filling the choices in online counselling. The counselling will be held in online mode where the candidates need to specify their preference of college and course for admission.

AIPVT 2022 Highlights

  • Admission of students to BVSc & AH degree course shall be made only on the basis of his or her merit obtained in the merit of NEET UG exam.
  • Candidates are advised to confirm the details about the fees and other charges before filling up the choices at the private veterinary colleges.
  • Applicants should note that once a choice is locked, no changes can be made after that. Therefore, proper care should be taken while filling the choices.
  • The candidates are advised to visit council’s website (www.aipvt.vci.nic.in) regularly for latest instructions from time to time.
  • Mere registration for counseling on the website of the council will not automatically guarantee any seat for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. course under 15% All India quota.
  • The seats will be allotted to candidates for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. course according to their rank and in order of choices opted by them and availability of seats under a particular category.

APIVT 2022 Application form

Before proceeding to fill up the online registration form for Counseling, the candidates are advised to obtain the transaction ID of NEFT from the remitter bank and other details. The candidate should mention the name of the account holder who has remitted the fees through NEFT on behalf of the candidate. To fill the application form, candidates need to register themselves by providing their basic details such as name, mobile number, date of birth and email id. The form will include the following details- personal, education, NEET score, and other relevant information. Applicants must fill the form very carefully as no correction window will be provided once the form is submitted successfully. It is mandatory for the candidates to pay the stated application fee failing which the candidature of the candidate shall be liable to cancelled. The form must be submitted on or before the due date mentioned by the authority to avoid rejection.

Application fee

General, OCI, PIO and OBC candidates are required to pay an amount of Rs. 1000/- towards the application fee payment. SC/ST/PH candidates need to pay Rs. 500/- for the same. The payment of application fee should be made through NEFT.

AIPVT 2022 Eligibility criteria

The eligibility status for AIPVT can be checked from the information provided below-

  • Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply however, the candidates from State of Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. course under 15% All India quota. OCI and PIO candidates can apply under 15% All India quota.
  • Age limit: The age of the candidates must fall between 17 years old and 25 years old as on or before 31st December 2020. Reserved category can claim relaxation in age as per the rules.
  • Educational qualification: Candidates must have passed their qualifying exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology and English as subjects from a recognized board and have secured at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved category candidates).

Result and Counselling

  • The result of seat allotment under AIPVT 2022 can be checked from the official website of the council.
  • A list will be displayed on the website of the VCI stating the name of the candidates and the colleges allotted to them.
  • Candidates will be allotted a seat based on the following factors-nationality, age, essential qualification, availability of seat, NEET score etc.
  • The allocation of seats under 15% All India quota shall be applicable to only to the recognized veterinary colleges in India except from J & K.
  • After the seat allotment is done, candidates must report to the college allotted to them within the stipulated time for documents verification, payment of admission fee and other admission related formalities.

Selection procedure

Candidates will be given admission in B.V.Sc. & A.H. course based on the NEET score obtained by them and other criteria. Applicants will have to register for counselling conducted by VCI in order to apply for admission in the colleges. The counselling will be held in online mode only where candidates will be asked to enter their preference of college and course. Once the counselling is finished, the authority will allocate a seat to the candidates. Candidates then need to report to the allotted college to complete admission related formalities.

Documents required

Given below are the documents that the candidates need to produce at the time of reporting to the allotted college. Candidates are required to carry their original documents and their photocopies at the college for verification-

  • Identity proof (as mentioned in NEET application)
  • Secondary school examination or equivalent certificate
  • VCI counseling registration confirmation page downloaded from council’s website
  • Class 12th mark sheet
  • 10+2 certificate or provisional certificate.
  • Character certificate
  • NEET UG application form, admit card and rank card.
  • Date of birth certificate (In case the secondary school examination certificate does not have the date of birth)
  • Six passport-sized and one postcard-sized colored photographs (should be same as uploaded on the NEET application form)
