Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to take admission in the Vidyasagar University to pursue the PG courses, candidates must have fulfilled the eligibility criteria as given in the following points:

Admission Process

Candidates will be offered admission into the PG courses on the basis of merit list. In the table given below, candidates can find the details of the admission process and the merit list:

Candidates of the general category are required to obtain minimum 45% marks for admission into the Arts stream.
Candidates of the SC and ST category will be required to have 40% marks with 5% relaxation to be eligible to apply for admission.
Those, who want to apply for admission to pursue the Master of Science (M.Sc.) programme, will be required to have 50% marks in the honors level science programme.
Candidates of the reserved category will be given the relaxation of 5% marks.

Number of Seats available for admission in the University

60% of the total seats available in the university will be reserved for the candidates of the university and the colleges affiliated to the university.
40% of seats will be available for admission through the open admission.
