UPSC IFS 2025: Application Form, Eligibility Criteria, Dates

UPSC IFS 2025: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will be going to organize IFS 2025 (Indian Forest Service) Exam to recruit candidates for the post of Indian Forest Services Officer.

The commission will conduct the exam in two major phases namely Civil Services Examination (Preliminary) and Indian Forest Service Examination (Main). After qualifying the Civil Services Examination (Preliminary), candidates will be allowed to appear in Indian Forest Service (Main) examination.

UPSC IFS 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants need to satisfy the prescribed eligibility criteria before appearing in exam. The UPSC IFS Eligibility criteria are as follows:

Nationality

  • Candidates should be the citizen of India or belongs to Bhutan or Nepal,
  • Tibetan immigrants who came in India before 1 January 1962 for the intention of settling here permanently can also apply
  • Person of Indian origins who have migrated from Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zaire, Malawi, Vietnam and Ethiopia can also apply.

Educational criteria

Aspirants should have done graduation with one the following subjects i.e. Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Geology, Zoology and Statistics.

Or

Candidates who have done graduation in Agriculture, Forestry, or Engineering from a recognized state or central university may also eligible to apply.

Age Limit

  • The age of candidates should lie between 21 years and 32 years
  • There will be also 5 years age Relaxation given to candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

UPSC IFS 2025 Application Form: How to apply?

Candidates can apply for UPSC IFS exam 2025 through online mode only. Interested candidates should visit the official portal of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) i.e. www.upsconline.nic.in and apply for the Civil Services Preliminary exam. Complete the online registration for both parts i.e. part 1 registration and part 2 registration as per the prescribed format. They also need to pay necessarily applicable fee in the part 2 registration.

Application fee:

Candidates have to deposit Rs. 100/- as applicable Application Fee through SBI debit card, credit card, internet banking or via SBI challan. Candidates from SC/ST or Female category are exempted from paying the application fee.

UPSC IFS 2025 Examination pattern

The UPSC IFS exam will be held in two stages i.e. Civil Services Examination (Preliminary) and Indian Forest Service Examination (Main). The examination scheme for both the exams is given below:

UPSC IFS 2025 Admit Card

Applicants who have completed the registration process successfully will be issued admit card online through official website. Candidates will be able to obtain their admit card before three weeks of the commencement of the preliminary examination. Applicants are advised to bring their admit card while appearing in the examination center at the time of exam.

Result

The commission will release the result of IFS exam 2025 at the official website of UPSC in the PDF format. They need to enter their name or roll number in order to view their result.
