SAAT 2022: Application Form (Released), Eligibility Criteria, Syllabus, Exam Pattern

Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University has invited the applications for admission in various UG and PG programs offered by it. Candidates need to apply for SAAT 2022 entrance exam to be eligible for admission in courses such as-BCA, BBA, B.Tech, B.Pharma, LLM, M.Tech, M.Pharma etc. The application form for entrance exam has been released on 1st February 2022.  Applicants are required to check their eligibility status before proceeding for the form. The exam will be conducted in both the online and offline modes. Candidates will get a total of 2 hours to complete the test.

SAAT 2022 Highlights

  1. Only online applications will be considered as a valid one for submission purpose. Candidates can select their preference of mode of exam during the application form filling process.
  2. The form should be submitted on time to avoid last-minute technical errors.
  3. Admission in medical and dental courses will strictly be given on the basis of the NEET score obtained by the candidates.
  4. Engineering aspirants can also apply for admission via JEE Main score secured by them. They need not take the entrance test conducted by the University.
  5. Selection in different programs will strictly be given on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the exam.
  6. The authority will publish a merit list stating the names/roll number of the candidates who have qualified the exam as per the minimum cutoff decided by them.
  7. These shortlisted candidates will then go through the counselling process where they will be allotted a seat based on their merit rank, seat availability, fulfillment of eligibility criteria and choices given during counselling.

SAAT 2022 Eligibility criteria

Candidates can check their eligibility status from the eligibility criteria stated below-

  • B.Tech: Candidates should have passed class 12th exam or its equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Informatics/ Statistics/ Technical Vocational subject from a recognized University.
  • B.Pharma: Candidates should have passed class 12th exam or its equivalent with PCM/B subject group from a recognized board.
  • BBA: Candidates should have passed class 12th exam from a recognized board.
  • BCA: A pass in class 12th with Mathematics as one of the subjects of study is required.
  • M.Tech: Applicants should have done B.Tech in relevant discipline from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
  • M.Pharma: Applicants should have done B.Pharma from a recognized university with minimum 55% aggregate marks.

SAAT Application form 2022

The application form for the entrance test can only be filled online. Candidates need to visit the official website of the University i.e. www.admission.soa.ac.in to apply for the exam. They need to keep their documents, scanned photograph and signature handy while filling the form. The application form will include details such as- Name, nationality, gender, category, DOB, mobile number, educational details, and address among others.

The information provided by the candidates should be correct and match their official records. If at any stage, the details entered by the applicants are found to be misleading then such candidates will be disqualified from taking the exam. It is important for the candidates to review their details before making the final submission of their application. Incomplete application form will be rejected by the authority.

Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for SAAT 2022 entrance exam is given below-

  • Exam mode: Online and Offline
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Language: English
  • Type of questions: Objective type
  • Total number of questions: 120 questions
  • Marking scheme: 4 marks will be awarded for correct answer
  • Negative marking: A penalty of 1 mark will be applied for each incorrect answer

Syllabus

The syllabus for different UG and PG programs are as follows-

For B.Tech, B.Pharma, B.Sc Nursing, and B.Sc agriculture:

  • Physics: Physics and measurement, kinematics, laws of motion, work, power and energy, rotational motion, gravitation, properties of solids and liquids, thermodynamics, magnetic effect of current and magnetism, oscillations and waves etc.
  • Mathematics: Sets, relations and functions, matrices and determinants, complex numbers and quadratic equations, permutation and combination, continuity and differentiability, integral calculus, coordinate geometry, trigonometry, etc.
  • Chemistry: States of matter, some basic concepts of chemistry, atomic structure, chemical thermodynamics, organic chemistry, biomolecules etc.
  • Biology: Plant cell, history, complexities of plant life, taxonomy of flowering plants, continuity of plant life, microorganisms, and diversities in plant life, digestive system, etc.

For MCA:

  • Mathematics: Algebra of Sets, number systems , trigonometry, co-ordinate geometry of two dimensions, co-ordinate geometry of three dimensions, vectors, differential calculus, integral calculus.
  • Computer awareness: General computer awareness, programming language.

Admit card

  • The admit card of SAAT 2022 can only be obtained through candidates login/dashboard in the 1st week of April 2022.
  • Candidates need to keep a printout copy of the admit card and retain it for future use.
  • Candidates should check their name, photograph, programme, subject, address of the candidate, address of the Test Centre allotted and test schedule on the hall ticket.
  • Any discrepancy in the hall ticket should be immediately brought to the notice of the authority.
  • Without the admit card, the entry to the exam hall shall be denied. Hence, candidates must carry the hall ticket with them.

Result and Counselling

  • The result of SAAT entrance exam will be declared on the official website of the university.
  • In order to shortlist the candidates for admission, the authority will prepare a category-wise merit list based on the marks scored by the candidates in the test.
  • Selected candidates will be called to attend the counselling process where a seat will be allotted to them.
  • Candidates will also undergo the document verification phase where they need to bring their original documents and their photocopies for a thorough verification.
