Delhi Polytechnic 2021: Delhi CET Application Form, Eligibility, Exam Pattern

A common entrance exam (CET) will be conducted to select the candidates for admission into polytechnic colleges of Delhi. The admissions to the selected candidates will be given into different engineering and non-engineering diploma, modern office practice and pharmacy courses. The interested and eligible candidates can submit their application form in online mode. The process of application will begin tentatively from the month of March 2021. Delhi CET Application Form 2021

The candidates can apply online for Delhi Polytechnic 2021. The application form will be released on the official website cetdelhiexam.nic.in. Aadhaar number or PAN number of the candidate is required for online submission of application form.

  • The candidates can apply for more than one test by filling separate application form for each test.
  • Candidates are required to provide their personal and educational details in the application form.
  • After providing the details in the application form, the candidates can click on the ‘final submit’ button to submit the form.
  • The candidates can then proceed to upload the scanned copies of their photograph and signature in the form by selecting the ‘upload images’ button.
  • The candidates can also choose to make changes in the application form by selecting the ‘edit application form’ button.
  • After the image uploading, the candidates will have to select the ‘pay examination fee’ link to submit the fee.
  • The application fee will be Rs. 418/- and the payment can be done online using debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

Eligibility Criteria for Delhi Polytechnic exam 2021

Physical fitness:

The candidates must be physically fit and Medical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner will be required during the admission.

Educational criteria:

  • Test 1: The candidates should have passed 10th class exam with a minimum aggregate of 35% marks in Science, Mathematics & English. Individual pass in these subjects is also required.
  • Test 2: A pass in class 12th exam or equivalent with 35% marks in aggregate of the best three subjects including English is required.
  • Test 3: Those who have cleared their class 12th exam or equivalent with at least 35% marks in aggregate of the best three subjects including Hindi/ Sanskrit are eligible.
  • Test 4: The applicants should have passed the class 12th exam with a minimum aggregate of 35% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology.
  • Test 5: A pass in class 12th exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology/ Technical/ Vocational subjects or 10th + 2-year ITI in relevant trade is necessary.

Admit Card

  • The admit card will be released online around 10 days before the commencement of entrance test.
  • Candidates will have to download their admit card and take its printout to carry to the exam center.
  • Details of the exam- center and timing will be mentioned on the admit card.
  • A valid identity proof (Aadhaar card or school id card) must be carried along with the admit card to the exam hall.
  • The applicants are suggested to retain their admit card till the whole process of admission is over.

Delhi Polytechnic 2021 Result

  • The result will be announced after the scrutiny of answer sheets hopefully in the month of June 2021.
  • Candidates will be able to check their result from the official website cetdelhi.nic.in.
  • A merit list in the order of ranking will be prepared on the basis of marks scored by the candidates in CET.
  • The counseling of the shortlisted candidates will be held according to the merit list.

Counseling & Admission

  • The candidates will have to register themselves for the counseling process through official website.
  • The successfully registered candidates can provide the choice for polytechnic institutes in which they wish admission.
  • On the basis of choice made by the candidates and availability of seat at their rank, seat allotment will be done.
  • Applicants will be able to check seat allotment result by using their CET roll number and password.
  • The candidates will then have to submit part institutional fees online otherwise they will lose the seat.
  • Finally, the candidates will have to report to the allotted institute to get their documents verified.
  • Those candidates whose documents are verified will have to pay the rest of institution fee to complete the admission formality.
