Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2024) tests the ability of the candidates for the post of teacher. Introduction of CTET Exam 2024
Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national level exam which allows candidates of diverse field to choose teaching as their profession. This exam is conducted every year to make students eligible to become teacher of class 1 to class 8 in several reputed schools across the country like Navodaya Vidyalaya and Kendriya Vidyalaya.
There will be two papers in CTET 2024 exam. Candidates willing to teach students of class 1 to 5 they have to take CTET Paper 1, while to teach class 6 to 8 students it will be required to appear for CTET paper 2. Those are interested in teaching students of class 1 to 8 they can take both the papers Paper 1 and Paper 2.

CTET 2024 Notification

CTET Eligibility Criteria 2024
Those have Indian citizenship are eligible to apply however the subjects of Nepal and Bhutan are also permitted to apply for the exam. Candidates must satisfy the below-mentioned eligibility criteria before applying for the CTET 2024.
CTET Age Limit
The minimum age criterion for CTET exam is 18 years, however there is no upper age restriction for appearing in the exam.
Educational Qualification for Classes I-V (Primary Stage)
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE Regulations, 2002 OR
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)* OR
- Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education
Educational qualification for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage)
- Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) OR
- Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE Regulations OR

Note:
- A relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks will be given to the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH candidates.
- Candidates pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI) will be eligible for appearing in CTET.
CTET Application Form 2024
The candidates will be able to fill and submit their CTET 2024 application form in online mode. The link to the application form will be made available on the official CTET website. The email id and phone number that the candidate enters for registration will be used for sending any alerts related to CTET 2024.
The candidates will first have to fill their authentication form providing details of state, identification type, name, date of birth and gender.
After this, the candidates will have to fill the application form providing rest of the details and a password for future applicant login.
A registration/ application number will be generated after successful registration which can be used with the generated password for future login.
The next step after the filling of application form will be uploading scanned images. The prescribed specification of the scanned images is given below:

The candidates are also required to submit a prescribed amount of examination fee to complete the application process.
The fee payment can be done through Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank E-Challan or online through debit card/ credit card.
Fee once submitted will not be refunded or adjusted for future test under any circumstances.

In the end, the candidates will have to take a printout of the confirmation page and keep it safe for future reference.
In case confirmation page is not generated after depositing the fees, the candidate should approach the Assistant Secretary of CTET Unit.
Copy of e-Challan must also be kept safe for record and future use.
There is no need to send the confirmation page or the copy of e-Challan to the CTET unit.
Correction in application form
Any error in the application form can be corrected while the correction window is open. No editing will be possible after that.
The correction will be possible only in the following particulars- name, father and mother name, date of birth, category, differently abled category, paper opted, subject for paper ii, first choice of centre, language opted, address of correspondence and the name of the institution last attended, etc.
No request for correction will be accepted through fax, application, email etc.

Note:
- The PH candidates may be given compensatory time of 50 minutes in each paper.
- Facility of scribe may be allowed to person with disability of 40% or more.
- The candidates may opt for their own scribe or may be provided by the Centre Superintendent upon request. Such request must be made one day before the examination
- The candidates may take more than one scribe for writing different papers especially for language.

CTET Admit Card 2024
Admit card is a mandatory document for appearing in the CTET exam 2024. One can download his/her admit card by visiting the official website of CTET exam. The date from when you can download your admit card will be intimated through the official website.
Crucial info about CTET Admit Card
- The admit card for CTET 2024 can be downloaded from the official website from the month of August tentatively.
- After downloading, the candidates must check for any discrepancy in the admit card and inform about the same to CTET authorities for correction.
- The candidates must appear for the exam at the center specified in the admit card.
- Any candidate not in possession of a valid and correct admit card will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
CTET Result 2024
CTET result is going to be released at its official website i.e. i.e https://ctet.nic.in. The result of CTET exam is usually announced almost six weeks after conducting the exam.
- The result of the eligibility test will be declared online around 6 weeks after the test.
- Candidates scoring more than 60% marks in the test will be considered qualified.
- The CTET marks statement will be sent to the candidates by post.
- No request for re-checking of answers will be entertained.
- Furnishing of inaccurate information may lead to cancellation of the result.
CTET Eligibility Certificate
- The CTET eligibility certificate will be valid for seven years from the date of result declaration.
- The eligibility certificate will be sent to all the qualified candidates by speed post.
- CTET will not be responsible for non-receipt of Eligibility Certificate due to postal loss.
- A CTET qualified person can also appear again for improving score.
- A candidate can get a duplicate copy of marks statement or eligibility certificate by paying the prescribed fee of Rs. 235/-.

- Central Government schools and schools under the administrative control of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi
- Unaided private schools may also consider CTET
- Schools owned and managed by the State Government/ local bodies and aided schools
- Schools affiliated to the CBSE

CTET 2024 Selection Procedure
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in CTET exam 2024. We have mentioned few important points regarding CTET selection process–

- Candidates are permitted to join government schools across the country. However, they have to appear for the school selection process separately.
