The Centralized Admission Committee (CAC) will be conducting CENTAC 2022 for admission to various undergraduate programmes provided by the colleges in UT of Puducherry. Candidates are required to get themselves registered by filling the online application form for the counselling. The application form will most probably be released in the month of May 2022/June 2022. Applicants need to ensure their eligibility status before heading over to the application form. The counselling will be conducted in online mode and will undergo different rounds. Candidates will be considered for admission on the basis of the marks scored by them in the concerned qualifying examination. Admission in medical and dental courses will solely be done according to the NEET UG score secured by the candidates.

CENTAC 2022 – Highlights

• Application form for CENTAC cannot be submitted offline/ printed copy by post. Only online application form will be considered as a valid one.
• No application will be considered once the deadline for submitting the form is expired.
• Allotment of seats will be made based on preferences subject to the availability as per merit and reservation.
• Candidates need to possess a valid email ID and active mobile number to register for the exam.
• The authority will communicate to the applicants only through SMS, E-mail and press releases.
• After the allotment of seats, candidates may opt for the following options- accept the seat, reject the seat and go for upgradation round, go for another round of counselling, go for one round of counselling and refuse further rounds of allotment.

CENTAC Application form 2022

The application for CENTAC 2022 must only be filled in online mode through the website www.centacpuducherry.in.  Candidate should ensure that all information entered during the online registration process is correct to their knowledge. The registration form will include the details such as- name of candidate, contact address, category, educational qualification, date of birth etc. No changes will be permitted in the form once it is submitted successfully. Candidates need to login into the official website and fill in their details along with course preferences.

Applicants also need to upload self-attested documents and scanned photograph and signature in the application form. The documents to be uploaded are- marksheet of the qualifying exam, nationality certificate, domicile proof, reservation certificate (if applicable), and other relevant certificates.  If the details provided by them are found to be incorrect or misleading then such candidates will be disqualified and won’t be given admission in the course they have applied for. Incomplete application or those received without the necessary application fee will end up getting rejected by the authority.

Application fee

Mode of payment: Applicants can pay the fee through credit card, debit card, net banking and demand draft. The DD has to be made in favour of “The coordinator, CENTAC” payable at Puducherry (only for group-I, IV, V and VI). Fee once paid will not be refunded back under any circumstances.

Eligibility criteria for CENTAC 2022

Candidates can check their eligibility status from the criteria mentioned below-

Nationality: Indian nationals and French nationals residing in Puducherry covered by the treaty of cession can apply for the counselling.

Age criteria

• For medical, dental, B.Sc, BPT courses, the age of the candidates must be at least 17 years at the time of admission.
• Tech aspirants must not be over 21 years old as on 31^st December 2022.

Qualifying examination

• MBBA/BDS: Applicants should have passed HSC exam or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology subject group from a recognized board. They should have scored minimum 50% aggregate marks. Qualifying NEET UG is mandatory for admission.
• Pharma: Candidates must have completed class 12^th or equivalent with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects and any one of the given subjects- Mathematics, Biology, Biotechnology, and Computer Science. They should have obtained minimum 45% aggregate marks.
• Tech: Applicants should have qualified class 12^th exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one of the following subjects- Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and Computer Science. They should have scored minimum 45% marks in aggregate.
• Sc: Candidates should have passed class 12^th exam or its equivalent minimum 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board.
• BA LLB: A pass in class 12^th exam with at least 45% marks from a recognized board is required.

Result

• The result of CENTAC 2022 will be published on the official website. Candidates need to login into the website to check their result.
• The authority will draw a merit list of the candidates for selection based on the marks scored by them in the concerned qualifying exam.
• CENTAC may publish the merit list as draft giving the candidates one or two days time to raise objections, if any. The final merit list will be published after considering the objections, if any.
• Separate merit list will be prepared for government quota seats & management quota seats.

Counselling

• After the announcement of result, CENTAC will hold the counselling procedure, the notification for which will be displayed on its website.
• The counselling will only be done in online mode. It may be conducted in one or more than one rounds depending upon the necessity.
• Candidates will need to indicate their choice of preference of college and course.
• The authority will allot a seat to the candidates based on different parameters such as merit rank, choice opted, seat availability and fulfillment of the eligibility requirements.
• Once the provisional allotment is done, the candidate must download the provisional allotment order and report to the allotted college within the specified time.
• If the candidate does not report within the given time, provisional allotment will be automatically cancelled.
• The candidate has to produce the original documents in the college for completing the admission process.
