Eligibility Criteria

Interested candidates who want to apply for PG admissions at M.G University must satisfy the required eligibility criteria before applying for admission. The eligibility criteria for M.G.U PG CAP 2022 are given below:

  • Candidates seeking admission to PG courses through PG CAP 2022 should have passed the equivalent degree examination under 10 + 2 + 3 pattern with one core/main subject and two additional/ corresponding subjects from any of the Universities located in Kerala or of any other University acknowledged by Mahatma Gandhi University as equivalent thereto for admission, reliant on the requirement regarding qualifying marks.
  • Aspirants, who have completed Degree examination with Double or Triple main subject and those who have passed the Degree Examination in Vocational or Specialized courses, may eligible to apply for admission. However, such candidates will have to produce the copy of the Equivalency/Eligibility Certificate from Mahatma Gandhi University, confirming that, their Qualifying Examination is accepted for seeking admission to the associated PG Degree program (s) as applicable, at the time of admission.
  • Note: Candidates, who have completed their qualifying examination from Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), are exempted from this provision.

M.G University PG CAP Admission 2022 Application Form: How to apply?

Candidates willing to apply for M.G.U PG admission through PG CAP 2022 have to submit an online application form as per the schedule date. Applicants should send a single application form in order to apply PG Degree admission (to all programmes) in various affiliated colleges. If candidate have submitted more than one application form, his/her candidature will be cancelled.

Application fee

For the successful application, candidates will have to pay Rs 700/ (Rs 350/ in case of candidates SC/ST Category) as an applicable application fee.

Online Application fill-up process

  • For online application, candidates will have to visit the official website of university i.e. www.mgu.ac.in
  • Look for the “PG CAP 2022” link and click on the same.
  • Read the instructions carefully.
  • Fill in the required details in the form as per the instructions given.
  • Create your password. Candidates are advised not to disclose your password to others for security reasons.
  • Now proceed to pay the necessary application fee by clicking on the “Pay now” link. Payment of said fee can be made online only via using the payment gateway like Credit Card/ Debit Card or Internet Banking facility.
  • Fill in the required personal details, academic eligibility and other options properly in the form.
  • Verify with the details provided by you in the online form carefully before final submission because no changes in the details will be allowed after the submission of online form.
  • At last, take the print out of duly filled in application for further reference. The candidates can check the print out and make changes/ corrections if any, during trial allotment.

Admission Procedure

Seat allotment and admission under merit quota will be done through the centralized allotment process (CAP). Candidates will be selected to any affiliated college based on their rank/score and availability of seats.

While a reserved category applicant will be allowed to admission on the basis of his/her merit will have the option of getting admission to the colleges/institutes where a particular number of seats have been kept reserved for SC/ST category, but while calculating the percentage of reservation he/ she will be considered to have been enrolled as an open category applicant and not as a reserved category applicant.
