HP PAT 2022 will be conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Takniki Shiksha Board for admission in different diploma courses offered by the govt. and pvt. Polytechnic colleges located in the state. Candidates can apply for the exam by filling the online application form. Before heading to the form, they must make sure that they fulfill the necessary conditions laid down by the board in order to take the test. The exam will be held in pen and paper-based mode where the candidates will be given a question booklet along with the OMR answer sheet to mark the answers. Candidates will get a total of 3 hours to finish the test.

HP PAT 2022- Highlights

• Students can apply for HP PAT exam only through the online mode. No printed applications shall be considered valid for submission in this regard.
• Applicants should submit the form on time to avoid the last-minutes rush or technical glitch.
• It is mandatory to pay the specified application fee for the exam. The application fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
• The authority won’t entertain any request pertaining to the review or re-checking of the answer sheets.
• Candidates will be given admission based on the marks obtained by them in HP PAT exam.
• In case two or more candidates obtain the same marks, then ranking will be done according to the age of the candidates i.e. the candidate with higher age will be ranked higher.
• The merit list will be published on the official website of the board. Based on the merit list, shortlisted candidates will undergo the counselling process where they will be allotted a seat.

HP PAT Syllabus 2022

Syllabus of HP PAT 2022 will typically be based on the curriculum specified for class 10^th. Here are the topics the candidates need to study to ace the exam-

• English: Error detection, fill in the blanks, sentence correction, jumble words, grammar, tenses, nouns, pronouns, word-meaning, antonym, synonym etc.
• Mathematics: Polynomials, real numbers, pair of linear equation in two variables, quadratic equations, arithmetic progressions, triangles, coordinate geometry, construction, circles, areas related to circle, trigonometry, surface areas and volumes, statistics and probability.
• Chemistry: Structure of atom, chemical reactions and equations, acids, bases, and salt, metal and non-metals, carbon and its compound, periodic classification of elements, etc.
• Physics: Light, magnetic effect of electric current, electricity, sources of energy and environment, etc.

HP PAT Application form 2022

To fill the application form, candidates need to visit then official website of HP technical education board i.e. http://www.hptechboard.com.  Candidates need to register for the exam by providing their basic details such as- name, date of birth, mobile number and email id. After registering for the exam, candidates need to login into the website to fill the application form.

In the application form, candidates need to provide their personal, education and other relevant information as per the official records. If the information given by the candidates is found to be false or misleading, then the candidates will be disqualified from taking the exam. There will be no opportunity to correct the details once the form is submitted successfully. Hence, candidates should provide their details very carefully. Applicants are also required to upload their latest scanned photograph and signature in proper format. It is mandatory for the candidates to pay the registration fee for the exam failing which their applications will be rejected by the board.

Eligibility criteria for HP PAT 2022

• Candidates should have passed class 10^th exam or its equivalent from a recognized board with at least 35% marks in aggregate. Those appearing in matriculation examination can also apply for HP PAT examination.
• Non-PAT candidates can apply for direct admission if they have scored minimum 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination subjected to the condition in case there are vacancies left after PAT counselling. Those from the reserved category should have scored at least 45% marks in matriculation exam to be eligible for direct admission in diploma courses.

Admit card

• The admit card for HP PAT 2022 exam can be downloaded from the official website of the board.
• No admit card shall be sent to the candidates by post or any other means except the online one.
• Candidates should check the details printed on the admit card very carefully. The admit card will bear details such as name, roll number, photograph, signature, address, exam venue, reporting time, etc.
• Candidates need to take a printout of the admit card and keep it safe for future use.
• They must bring the hall ticket to the exam hall along with a valid govt. ID proof failing which they won’t be permitted to appear in the exam.

Result and counselling

• To check the result of HP PAT 2022 examination, candidates need to visit the official website of the HP Takniki Shiksha board.
• The board will prepare a merit list of the candidates based on their performance in the exam.
• Shortlisted candidates will then need to attend the counselling process where a seat will be allotted to them based on different factors such as availability of seat, merit rank, choices opted during counselling etc.
• Candidates will also undergo the document verification phase where their original documents will thoroughly be verified by the authorities to check the eligibility of the candidates.
• Candidates should therefore, bring their original documents and their photocopies for document verification.
• Students then need to report to the allotted college to complete the admission related formalities.
