VIT conducts Master’s Entrance Exam (VITMEE) to select the eligible candidates for admissions into M.Tech, M.Tech (Research), MCA and Integrated PhD degree programmes. Application process is expected to start from the month of March 2022 and forms will be released in online mode. The candidates are advised to fill and submit their application form without waiting for the last date. Important Highlights of VITMEE 2022

• No editing in the online application form will be possible after successful submission of the form.
• A consistent record in class 10^th and 12^th is required to get enrolled in master’s course offered by VIT.
• The filled in application may be downloaded and stored for future reference. There is no need to send the filled-in application form/ certificates by post.
• Few seats are reserved for candidates sponsored by Research Organizations/ Industries for the M.Tech degree programmes.
• The candidates must sign the attendance sheet at the appropriate places at the test centre.

VITMEE Application Form 2022

The candidates will be able to apply online for VITMEE 2022 through respective link provided on the official website of the institute www.vit.ac.in. Applicants who submit their application on time will be able to book the slot for appearing in the exam.

• Basic personal and educational details of the candidates will be asked in the application form.
• Scanned copies of photograph and signature of the candidates also needs to be uploaded into the form.
• After providing the details as required in the application, the candidates can submit their form online.
• Any correction in the application form can be done only till the last date of form submission.
• A printout of the filled-in application form should be taken by the candidates and kept for any future reference.

Application fee

• A non-refundable application fee of Rs. 1121/- will also be submitted with the application form.
• Fee payment can only be done online using debit card/ credit card/ net banking.

Eligibility Criteria for VITMEE

The candidates must fulfill the following VITMEE 2022 eligibility criteria:

Nationality:

• Indian national candidates who have completed graduations from institutions situated in the country can apply.
• Candidates of foreign nationality and NRI/ PIO candidates need to make their applications separately.

Academic qualifications:

• A full-time graduation degree in the relevant field or its equivalent degree with a minimum aggregate of 60% is required to be eligible.
• Those appearing in their final degree exam in the year 2022 are also eligible to apply.

Slot Booking

• Once the candidate submits the online application, the candidate will receive an e-mail with a website link and the corresponding login credentials.
• Using these login credentials, the candidates will be able to book the slot for exam.
• From the available options, the candidates will be able to choose from the available options and test center.
• Exam slot once booked cannot be changed. Requests for change of date, slot or test center will not be entertained under any circumstances.
• A confirmation mail will be sent to the email address of the candidates who have successfully booked their slot.

Admit Card

• Admit card for VITMEE 2022 will be available for download on the official website of VIT.
• Candidates who successfully book a slot for exam will be able to download the admit card using their registration number.
• The admit card will contain name, registration number, photograph, signature, postal address, exam slot, date, test centre address, test schedule and set of instructions for the test.
• Applicants should not write anything on their admit card or must not mutilate it in any other manner.
• Admit card must be preserved by the candidates as it will be required at the time of interview and admission as well.

Result & Counseling

• The result of the entrance exam will be announced tentatively in the month of June 2022
• A list of the candidates who are shortlisted for admission will be published on the official website of VIT.
• Candidates whose names appear in this list will be invited to take part in the counseling process.
• Selected candidates will have to submit an amount of Rs. 12000/- as counseling fees paid via computerized DD.
• Name of the candidates who fail to submit the counseling fee will be removed from the admission list.
• Important documents of the candidates will be verified after which they can take part in the counseling process.
• Admission will be granted to the candidates after successful verification of the documents.

Candidates reporting for counseling must carry the following documents in original for verification, along with one set of photocopy while reporting for counseling:

• VITMEE admit card
• Marks sheet of class 10^th and 12^th
• Mark Sheets of all semesters/ years of the qualifying examination up to pre-final/ final year as applicable
• Qualifying degree/ provisional certificate (if received)
• Transfer/ Migration/ College Leaving Certificate obtained from the institute last attended (if received)
• Valid GATE score card for candidates applying for M.Tech (if applicable)
• Service Certificate/ No Objection Certificate issued by the Employer (for sponsored candidates for M.Tech Programmes only)
• Community Certificate (for SC/ ST category candidates)
• Demand Draft of Rs. 12000, drawn in favor of “Vellore Institute of Technology”, payable at Vellore
