UPSC CISF AC (EXE) LDCE 2024: Dates (Released), Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus

A Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) will be conducted by the UPSC to select the candidates for the post of Assistant Commandants in CISF. Interested candidates will be able to fill their application in online mode from 29th November 2023 onwards. Submission of application should however be online and offline (both compulsory). The selection process will consist of a total of three rounds- written test, physical/ medical fitness test and interview/ personality test. Qualifying all these rounds will be mandatory for the candidates in order to be eligible for final selection.

Major Highlights UPSC LDCE 2024

  • Applications submitted in both online and offline mode will only be considered for further processing.
  • Candidates must ensure their eligibility criteria for appearing in the exam before filling the application form.
  • A valid and active email id must be provided at the time of registration as the password for filling the application form will be sent to this id only.
  • Documents such as application form, admit card, etc must be preserved till the selection process is over.
  • The selected candidates shall undergo training at the training centre of the Force and will remain on probation for a period of two years.

Application Form

UPSC CISF AC (EXE) LDCE 2024 application form will be released online on the official website upsc.gov.in. After filling and submitting the application online, the candidates will also have to send a hard copy of the application to the CISF authorities.

  • The application form will ask basic personal, educational and experience details of the candidates.
  • Scanned copies of photograph and signature will also be uploaded into the application form.
  • Duly-filled application form complete in every respect can then be submitted online.
  • After online submission, the candidates will have to take a printout of the application form, attach important documents with it and send it to the CISF address given below.
  • The application should be sent so as to reach the CISF office before the last date of application receipt.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the UPSC CISF AC (EXE) LDCE 2024 exam are given as:

  • Age: The maximum age of the candidates should not exceed more than 35 years (40 years for SC/ ST candidates) as on 1st August 2024.
  • Qualification: A graduate degree earned from a recognized university/ institute is required.
  • Certification: Holding a NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate will be a desirable qualification.
  • Experience: 4 years of regular service as on 1st January 2024 in the rank of Sub Inspector (GD)/ Inspector (GD) including the period of basic training and a clean record of service till the issue of offer of appointment.
  • Attempts: Candidate can attempt this exam for a maximum of 3 times.

Admit Card

  • Candidates will be able to download the admit card to appear in the exam from the official website of UPSC.
  • Admit card will be available around 2 weeks before the date of commencement of exam.
  • The applicants should take a printout of the admit card and carry it to the exam center.
  • The admit card will only be released online and no hard copy will be sent by the commission.
  • Entry in the examination hall will not be allowed in case of absence of the admit card.

Result

  • The result of the written exam will be declared online hopefully in the month of April 2024.
  • Result will be displayed on the official website of UPSC www.upsc.gov.in.
  • Candidates who clear this exam will have to appear for physical and medical fitness tests.
  • Qualifying in these rounds is compulsory to be called for the final interview round.
  • Candidates should report for the interview as per the details communicated to them through the UPSC website.
  • During the interview, the candidates will be asked questions both in their own field and in matters of general interest to test their awareness and understanding.
  • Applicants, who clear the interview round as well, will be considered for final recruitment.
