NATA 2021: Online Registration, Syllabus, Eligibility Criteria, Exam Dates

NATA 2021 or National Aptitude Test in Architecture 2021 is a national level entrance exam that will be organized by the Council of Architecture. It is a common entrance exam that offers admission to 5-year B.Arch Degree course at all recognized institutes across India.

NATA 2021 exam will be conducted twice a year tentatively and the application form will be released and submitted in online mode only.  The score of NATA 2021 will remain valid for the admission in the academic session 2021-22 only.  Aspiring candidates can check all the necessary details regarding this exam through this article.

NATA 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates from the following background will be allowed to take the NATA 2021 exam.

  1. Passed or appearing in 10+2 or equivalent exam.
  2. Passed or appearing in 10+3 diploma from an institute recognized by central or state government.
  3. International Baccalaureate Diploma holder or appearing, after 10 years of schooling.

The NATA 2021 will be a qualifying exam; the candidates will not be eligible for admission to B.Arch course unless they fulfill the following eligibility Criteria

  1. Must have passed a recognized aptitude test such as NATA or equivalent in the year 2021.
  2. Fulfill any one of the following eligibility criteria
    1. Passed in 10+2 with 50 % aggregate marks and Mathematics as a compulsory subject
    2. Passed 10+3 Diploma with 50 % aggregate marks and Mathematics as a compulsory subject
    3. Possess an International Baccalaureate Diploma with 50 % aggregate marks and Mathematics as a compulsory subject

How to Apply for NATA 2021 Exam?

  • The NATA 2021 application form will be submitted online through the NATA official portal.
  • The NATA 2021 application procedure is a two step process. Firstly the candidates have to register through the official website and then the application form will be submitted by providing necessary details.
  • While providing details in the application form the candidates have to upload the scanned images of recent passport size photograph, signature and community certificate as per the format given below

  • After uploading the images, applicant have to pay the application fee and submit the application form
  • Take a printout of submitted application form and fee transaction receipt as a proof of application form submission.

NATA 2021 Application Fee 

The Application Fee of NATA 2021 exam will be Rs. 1800/- (Rs. 1500 /- for candidates from SC/ST category.

Note: The above-mentioned application fee is inclusive of service charge by the bank.

Mode of Payment

  • The NATA 2021 Application Fee will be paid through the SBI online payment gateways using a credit card, debit card, or internet banking.

Note: The confirmation page will be generated after the successful submission of application fee. Candidate should preserve the printout of this confirmation page for future reference.

NATA 2021 Exam Pattern

The Question Paper of NATA 2021 exam will be divided into 2 Parts i.e. Part A and Part B. Part A will have questions from Mathematics and General Aptitude subjects and Part B will be containing Questions from Drawing.

Important Highlight of drawing paper in NATA 2021 exam

  • Candidates have to attempt two questions carrying 40 marks each in 90 minutes.
  • The candidates will be tested on the following abilities
    • Ability to sketch a given object
    • Sense of perspective Drawing
    • Visualizing and drawing the effect of light on the objects
    • Creating visual harmony using colors in given composition.
    • Creating interesting 2D composition using given shapes and forms
    • Drawing from memory using pencil sketch on day to day themes
    • The understanding of scale and Proportions.

NATA 2021 Admit Card

The council of Architecture will publish the NATA 2021 admit card on the official website. Information such as exam date and venue can be accessed from the admit card. A printed hard copy of the admit card along with a photo identity proof such as Voter ID/ Pan Card/ Aadhar Card/ Driving Licence/ e- Aadhar will be required at the exam venue. Candidates are advised to retain the admit card till the completion of application process.

NATA 2021 Result

The Part-A response sheet (along with the subject wise marks) of every candidate will be uploaded within a week of taking the NATA 2021 exam. No review of the drawing test (Part B) will be made available. Further, no request regarding the scrutiny or review of Part B result will be entertained

The result of NATA 2021 will be published on the official website. Following details will be available in NATA 2021 result

  • Status of Candidate (Pass/Fail)
  • Marks obtained in each component and total marks out of 200.

Qualifying Marks for NATA 2021 exam

  • At least 25% of the total marks scored in Part A i.e. 30 out of 120.
  • At least 25% of the total mark in Part B (Drawing Exam) i.e. 20 out of 80.
  • Overall qualifying marks will be decided by the council after the exam.

Note: The applicants have to fulfill all the three given criteria in order to get qualified in NATA 2021 exam.
