MHT CET 2022: Application Form (Live), Exam Date, Syllabus, Pattern

MHT CETMHT CET 2022 will be conducted by the state common entrance cell to select candidates for admissions into BE/ B.Tech, B.Pharma and Pharm.D courses. The admissions will be granted into the different institutes located in the state of Maharashtra. The interested candidates from all over the country can apply for the admissions. The application can be submitted only in online mode and the process has been started from 10th February 2022. The entrance test will be tentatively conducted in May 2022 and will be held in offline mode.

MHT CET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility criteria must be fulfilled by the MHT CET 2022 aspirants:

Candidature:

Maharashtra State Candidature:

  • Type A: Those who are a domicile of Maharashtra or are born in Maharashtra and have completed their SSC and HSC/ Diploma in engineering/ B.Sc exam from the state will be considered under this category.
  • Type B: The candidates whose mother or father or both are a domicile of the state will be considered under this category.
  • Type C: The candidates whose mother or father or both are employees of Central Government posted in Maharashtra will be considered under this category.
  • Type D: The applicants whose mother/ father/ both are employee or retired employee of Maharashtra will be considered under this category.
  • Type E: Those passing their SSC and/ or HSC exam from a recognized institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area or belong from Maharashtra, residing in the disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi will be considered under this category.

Minority Candidature: The applicants of any Linguistic/ Religious Minority Community from Maharashtra will be considered under this category.

Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature:

  • The children of citizens, who are displaced from J&K to any part of India or to a relatively safer place in J&K from 1990 onwards due to terrorist activities; or
  • The children of IAS/ IPS/ IFS or military/ paramilitary forces or J&K police officers transferred to J&K who joined the post on or before the last date for submission of application will fall under this category.

All India Candidature: The rest other candidates of Indian nationality will be considered under this category.

Educational qualification:

  • For BE/ B.Tech: A pass in the class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized board with Physics, Mathematics and any one of Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical or Vocational courses scoring a minimum of 50% aggregate marks of these subjects.
  • For BE/ B.Tech (lateral entry): Those with a pass in diploma in the relevant branch of engineering or have studied B.Sc with Mathematics at 12th level are eligible for lateral entry to engineering/ technology courses.
  • For B.Pharma: The candidates should have passed their class 12th exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology/ Biotechnology with an aggregate of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates of Maharashtra) in these subjects.
  • For Pharm.D: The applicants who have passed their class 12th exam with 50% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/ Biology/ Biotechnology are eligible. Those with a pass in Diploma in Pharmacy from institutes affiliated to State Board and approved by competent central authority and State Government with 50% can apply too.

MHT CET 2022 Application Form

MHT CET application form 2022 has been released on 10th February 2022 on the official website dtemaharashtra.gov.in. The interested and eligible candidates can apply for the admissions in online mode.

  • In the application form, the candidates will have to enter their personal details, contact details, educational details, etc.
  • The candidates will also have to upload their photograph and signature into the form in scanned format.
  • The duly-filled application form should be submitted on or before the last date along with the prescribed application fee.
  • A copy of the application form and fee payment receipt should be retained by the candidates in case of any future reference.
  • An incomplete application form, application with false details, application sent through post/ courier will be rejected.

Application fee:

The candidates can submit the application fee online using Internet Payment, Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards, etc.

The category-wise application fee is given as:

For Backward Category candidates (SC, ST, VJ/DT- NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC) and PWD candidates of Maharashtra Rs. 600/-
For others Rs. 800/-

MHT CET 2022 Exam Pattern

Chck out the exam pattern for MHT CET 2022:

  • Mode of examination: Pen and paper based exam
  • Number of papers: 3 (Paper 1- Mathematics, Paper 2- Physics & Chemistry and Paper 3- Biology
  • Duration of the test: 4 hours 30 minutes (1:30 hours for each paper)
  • Number of questions: 250
  • Type of questions: Objective type
  • Total marks: 300
  • Marking scheme: Each question in Paper 1 will carry 2 marks and each question in Paper 2 will carry 1 mark
  • Negative marking: No negative marking
  • Medium of the exam: English/ Marathi/ Urdu for Physics, Chemistry and Biology and only English for Mathematics

Note: The BE/ B.Tech aspirants will have to appear for Paper 1 and Paper 2 and the B.Pharma/ Pharm.D in Paper 2 and Paper 1 or Paper 3.

MHT CET 2022 Syllabus

The syllabus for MHT CET 2022 is given below.

  • Physics: Measurements, Scalars and Vectors, Force, Friction In Solids And Liquids, Refraction Of Light, Ray Optics, Magnetic Effect Of Electric Current, Magnetism.
  • Chemistry: Some Basic Concepts Of Chemistry, States Of Matter: Gases And Liquids, Redox Reaction, Surface Chemistry, Nature Of Chemical Bond, Hydrogen, S-Block Elements (Alkali And Alkaline Earth Metals), Basic Principles And Techniques In Organic Chemistry, Alkanes.
  • Mathematics: Trigonometric Functions, Trigonometric Functions of Compound Angles, Factorization Formulae, Straight Line, Circle and Conics, Sets, Relations And Functions, Probability, Sequences And Series.
  • Botany: Diversity in Organisms, Biochemistry of Cell, Plant Water Relations and Mineral Nutrition, Plant Growth and Development.
  • Zoology: Organization of Cell, Animal tissues, Human Nutrition, Human Respiration

MHT CET 2022 Admit Card

  • The candidates can download their admit card for MHT CET 2022 form the official website using their application number.
  • The admit card is an important document that must be carried to the exam center on the day of exam.
  • No candidate will be allowed entry into the exam hall in case of absence of the admit card.
  • The candidate must also carry a valid identity proof along with the admit card to the exam center.

MHT CET 2022 Result

  • The result of the common entrance test will be announced in online mode.
  • It is expected that the result will be declared in the month of June 2022.
  • However, before the actual result, answer keys will be released so that the candidates can get a rough idea of their marks.
  • On the basis of marks scored by the candidates in the test, a merit list will be prepared.
  • The further process of counseling and admission will be carried out according to the merit list.

MHT CET 2022 Counseling

  • All the successful candidates will have to attend the counseling conducted by the relevant authorities.
  • The details of the counseling will be communicated to the candidates from the official website.
  • The candidates will be allowed to choose branch and college of their choice at the time of counseling.
  • The seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of their ranking in the merit list and the choice made by them.
  • Eligibility and documents of the candidates will also be verified.
  • Final admissions will be granted to the candidates who fulfill all the aspects required for admission.
