Kerala ITI Admission 2024: Application Form, Exam Date, Pattern, Syllabus

Kerala ITI admission 2024 will be conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education for admission in various NCVT, SCVT trades offered by the industrial training institutes located in the state. Candidates need to apply for admission by filling the online application form. Before heading to the form, candidates need to ensure their eligibility status. Ineligible candidates won’t be given admission in matric, non-matric, +2, and pre-degree trades provided under ITIs. Admission will strictly be based on the performance of the candidates in the concerned qualifying examination.

  • Candidates can apply for ITI admission in Kerala only through the online mode. No printed applications will be released in this regard.
  • It is mandatory for the candidates to possess a valid email id and phone number for registration. The authority will communicate with the candidates through these mediums only.
  • Multiple applications should be avoided by the candidates.
  • The application fee will not be refunded once the payment is done successfully.
  • The authority will draw a merit list bearing the names of the candidates shortlisted for admission in different ITI trades.
  • Those who are selected will need to attend the counselling process where a seat will be allotted to them.

Application form

Candidates can obtain the application form of Kerala ITI admission by visiting the official website of the DTE, Kerala. They need to keep their documents handy along with the latest scanned photograph and signature. To register for admission, candidates need to provide details such as- name, father’s name, contact number, email id, gender, religion, nationality, educational details among others. The details given by the candidates should be correct and match their official records failing which the candidates won’t be considered for admission.

After filling the form, candidates are required to submit it to the institute they wish to seek admission in. The form should be submitted on time to avoid rejection of the application. Incomplete or applications received without the application fee will summarily be rejected by the authority. Candidates are required to pay Rs. 50/- as the application fee for admission in ITI.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the eligibility conditions laid down by the DTE in order to get enrolled in their choice of course. They can check their eligibility status from the information given below.

  • Nationality and domicile: Applicants must be an Indian national and belong to the state of Kerala. They should fulfill the local/non-local status of the state as per the rules.
  • Age criteria: Candidates must be at least 14 years old as on 1st August 2024. There is no upper age limit defined by the authority. Those belonging to the reserved category can claim relaxation in age as per the rules.
  • Educational qualification:
  • Matric trades: Candidates should have passed class 10th exam/ SSLC from a recognized board.
  • Non Matric trades: Candidates who have failed class 10th examination can apply for admission in non-matric trades.
  • In order to get admission in computer and relevant DTP courses, candidates should have passed pre-degree examination.
  • For admission under craftsman training scheme, candidates should have passed class 10th / class 12th /Pre-degree exam from a recognized board. The qualification varies from trades to trades.

Admission Procedure and Counselling

  • Selection of the candidates for various ITI trades will be based on the marks secured by the candidates in the concerned qualifying examination i.e. class 10th/class 8th/ pre-degree exam.
  • The authority will publish a merit list on its website stating the names of the selected candidates.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend the counselling session where they need to fill their choice of course and institute.
  • Based on the availability of seats, merit rank, choice opted during the counselling and fulfillment of the eligibility criteria, the authority will allocate a seat to the candidates.
  • Candidates will be given an allotment letter which they need to produce at the time of document verification at the reporting institute.
  • They need to report to the institute allotted to them to complete the admission related formalities.
