JNU Admission 2022 (Based on CUET): Application Form, Exam Date, CEEB Pattern, Eligibility Criteria

JNU AdmissionAdmission to JNU in the year 2022 will be through CUET. This exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency.

To select the candidates for admissions into different courses offered by Jawaharlal Nehru University, entrance exams will be conducted. The enrolment will be granted into the different constituent schools of the university. For admission into M.Sc (Agri.) Biotechnology & M.V.Sc programmes, CEEB will be conducted and for rest other courses, JNUET will be held. The interested and eligible candidates can apply for JNU Admission 2022 in online mode from March 2022.

JNU Admission Eligibility Criteria 2022

The course-wise eligibility criteria for certain courses offered by JNU are given below. The candidates can get the complete details of the JNU 2022 eligibility criteria from the website.

Undergraduate courses:

  • BA (Hons.) 1st year: The candidates should have passed their class 12th or equivalent exam with at least 45% aggregate marks. Those with the certificate of Alimiah with at least 45% marks and a pass in English Language subject at senior secondary level are also eligible.
  • BA (Hons.) 2nd year: A pass in first year of Bachelor’s degree course or equivalent with at least 45% marks (50% marks for German) with proficiency in the concerned language is required.

Postgraduate courses:

  • MA in Politics: The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks.
  • Sc in Life Sciences: B.Sc/ B.Tech or equivalent in Biological, Physical or Agricultural Sciences or Biotechnology with at least 55% marks is necessary.
  • Master of Public Health (MPH): Those with an MBBS degree with at least 55% marks or M.Sc Degree in nursing with at least 55% marks are eligible.
  • Sc (Agri.) Biotechnology & M.V.Sc.: Bachelor’s degree with at least 55% marks in the concerned subjects is required.
  • Sc in Environmental Sciences: The applicants with B.Sc degree or equivalent in any branch of basic or applied science or BE/ B.Tech/ MBBS with at least 55% marks can apply.

M.Phil/ Ph.D courses:

  • Ph.D in Life Sciences: The candidates with M.Sc in Biological Sciences, Bioinformatics or Physical Sciences with at least 55% marks or MBBS/ M.Tech/ M.Sc (Agriculture)/ M.Sc (Veterinary Sciences) degree with 55% marks or equivalent are eligible.
  • M.Phil/ Ph.D in Economics Studies & Planning: Master’s degree in allied subjects or Humanities with at least 55% marks or master’s degree in Natural Sciences with at least 55% marks is required.

JNU Application Form 2022

The application form for JNU Admission 2022 will be made available on the official website of the university. The candidates can apply for the admissions in online mode only. The candidates can apply for up to 3 fields of study for the same level of programmes.

  • The candidates will have to provide their personal and educational details in the application form.
  • Scanned copies of photograph and signature will also be uploaded in the application form.
  • The candidates will then have to submit the application form along with the prescribed application fee.
  • The candidates must take care to submit the application form on or before the last date.
  • A hard copy of the filled-in application form must be retained by the candidates in case of future reference.
  • Keep in mind that multiple application form for the same course will be rejected.

Admit Card

  • The admit card to appear in the exam will be released in online mode.
  • The candidates must download their admit card and take its printout to be carried to the exam hall.
  • Those without a valid admit card will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
  • The date, time and venue of the entrance exam will be communicated to the candidates through the admit card.
  • Admit card must be preserved till the whole process of admission is over.

Result

  • The candidates can check their result for the JNU entrance exam 2022 from the official website.
  • Those who are considered as qualified will be invited to take part in the counseling process.
  • A merit list of the candidates based on the marks scored by them in the entrance exam and counseling will be done according to that list.
  • Courses for which viva is conducted, merit list will be drawn on the basis of combined performance in written test and viva-voce.
