ISI 2022: Indian Statistical Institute Admission

The Indian Statistical Institute has invited applications for admission in various UG, PG and research programmed offered by it. Through ISI 2022, candidates can enroll themselves in programmes such as B.Math, B.Stat, M.Stat, M.Math, MS QE, MS QMS, etc. Admission to different ISI campuses will strictly be given based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance test. Candidates can apply for ISI exam by filling the online application form which is available from 1st March 2022.  Before heading over to the online form, candidates should make sure that they fit the eligibility criteria laid down by the institute to appear in the exam.

ISI 2022 application form will be released on 1st March 2022.

The next test is all set to be held on on 12th March 2022 (JRF-Computer Science) and 8th May 2022 (all other subjects).

ISI 2022 Exam Highlights

  • Only online applications shall be considered as a valid application for ISI admission. No printed application form will be released by the authority in this regard.
  • The application fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
  • To avoid the last-minute rush or technical problem, candidates should submit the form on time.
  • The admission process will be covered in two phases i.e. written test and interview.
  • Only those candidates will be called for the interview round who have cleared the written exam as per the cutoff decided by the authority.
  • Admission in different undergraduate and postgraduate programs will strictly be given on the basis of the merit obtained by the candidates in the written test and interview.

ISI Exam pattern 2022

Candidates can note down the exam pattern for ISI entrance exam as given below-

  • Exam mode: Pen and Paper-based mode
  • Type of questions: Objective and descriptive both
  • Total sessions: Forenoon and Afternoon session
  • Language: English
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Marking scheme: Varies accordingly
  • Negative marking: There will be a penalty for marking the incorrect answer.

ISI 2022 Syllabus

The syllabus for UG admission will be based on the curriculum prescribed for class 11th and class 12th respectively. Whereas, for PG admission, candidates are required to study the UG subjects of the PG program they wish to get admission into. ISI 2022 Application form

The application form for ISI 2022 exam can be filled online by visiting the official website of the institute i.e. https://www.isical.ac.in/. Candidates need to register themselves for the exam by providing their basic details such as name, date of birth, mobile number, email id. After successful registration, they need to proceed to the application form filling part. The form will bear the following details- personal, education, bank details and other relevant ones.

Candidates need to make sure that the information provided by them are correct as if their particulars are found to be incorrect or misleading then they won’t be allowed to take the test. Any correction or editing in the form should be done before the final submission of the same. Applicants also need to upload their scanned passport-sized photograph and signature in a proper format. Incomplete application form or those received without the application fee shall be rejected by the authority.

Mode of payment: Candidates can pay the stated application fee through online mode i.e. using credit card, debit card and net banking. They may also opt for SBI Challan to pay the application fee.

ISI Eligibility criteria 2022

The eligibility criteria for ISI 2022 admission are as follows-

Nationality: Indian nationals can apply for the entrance examination

Educational qualification

  • B.Stat (Hons.)/ B.Math (Hons.): Candidates should have passed class 12th exam or its equivalent from a recognized board with mathematics and English as subjects.
  • M.Stat: Candidates should have completed a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with statistics as a subject or hold a B.Math degree from ISI or have done PG Diploma in statistical methods and analytics from ISI.
  • MS QE: Applicants should have completed a bachelor’s degree in any discipline and have passed class 12th exam with mathematics as a subject.
  • MS QMS: Applicants should possess a valid bachelor’s degree with mathematics as a subject or have done BE/B.Tech in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • MS LIS: Candidates must possess a valid bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

ISI 2022 Admit Card

  • The hall ticket for ISI 2022 exam will be released in 2nd week of April 2022 on the official website.
  • Candidates need to download the admit card and retain a printout of the same for further use.
  • It is compulsory for the applicants to carry the admit card (along with a valid id proof) to the exam hall otherwise they won’t be allowed to appear in the exam.
  • The hall ticket should be kept safe till the admission process is finished.
  • Those whose program code will be DSTT and DCAG shall have to return the admit card during the forenoon session. Otherwise, they will have to return it in the afternoon session.

Result

  • The result of ISI entrance exam will be published on the official website of the institute.
  • Candidates who clear the written test will be qualified to appear in the interview round.
  • To shortlist the candidates, the authority will draw a merit list based on the performance of the candidates in the written exam and interview.
  • Those whose name appears in the merit list need to attend the counselling process where they will be asked to provide their preference of course and campus.
  • A seat will be allotted to them as soon as the counselling is done. Candidates need to report to the allotted institute to complete other formalities.
