ISI 2021: Exam Application Form, Date, Eligibility

ISI 2021: Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) conducts the all India level entrance exam to select the candidates for admission in the institute to pursue UG, PG and Ph.D. programme in Statistics, Science & Technology. There are 4 campuses of the institution located in Chennai, Tezpur, Delhi, and Bangalore. Candidates can apply for the admission and the entrance examination as according to the process provide in the following post. Important Dates

Eligibility Criteria

The table given below shows the eligibility criteria for the ISI Entrance exam 2021:

M. STAT. 3 years bachelor degree/B.Tech/BE with statistics subject, or

PG Diploma in Statistical Methods with Applications/Statistical Methods and Analytics
from ISI, or
B Math degree from ISI

M. MATH. 3 years bachelor degree/B.Tech/BE with mathematics subject and strong background in Analysis and Abstract Algebra or,
B Stat degree from ISI
MS (QE) 3 years bachelor degree in Economics/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Physics or,
B.Tech/BE with knowledge of Economics and Mathematics at UG level, or
B Stat degree from ISI
MS (QMS) 3 years bachelor degree with Mathematics, or
B.Tech/BE degree
MS (LIS) 3 years bachelor degree in any discipline
M. TECH. (CS) BE/B Tech or equivalent degree (AMIE, GRADIETE, DOEACC ‘B’ Level), or
Master’s degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Physics/Electronic Science/Information Technology
M. TECH. (QROR) Master Degree in Statistics/ Mathematics with Probability and Statistics, or

PG Diploma in Statistical Methods & Analytics Graduation in any stream including technology/engineering with mathematics subject.

 ISI 2021 Application Form

The ISI releases the application form thru the official website. Usually, the application form will be available in the month of February 2021. All the eligible candidates can fill and submit the online application form as according to the procedure explained below:

  • In general, applications will available on the official website of ISI.
  • The application forms for PG Diploma in Statistical Methods and Analytics course will be available offline only.
  • Applicants can fill and submit the application form and will get a registration number and password generated online.
  • The application fee for all the applicants will be rs.600 while for the candidates for the reserved category the application fee will be Rs. 300.
  • The offline application forms attached with the essential documents will be sent to the following address as given below-

Exam Pattern

  • There are two parts of the entrance examination viz. part-1 and part-2.
  • The paer-1 will be of objective nature comprising multiple choice questions.
  • The paper-2 will be written with short answer type questions.
  • The exam pattern for M.Tech course will be different than the pattern given in the above points.
  • This exam shall also comprise of two question papers viz. Paper-1 and Paper-2.
  • The first question paper will be of mathematics and it will have questions of the UG level.
  • The part-2 of the question paper will also be of mathematics but it will be of descriptive nature.
  • Along with that, it will have some objective questions of reasoning.

ISI 2021 Admit Card

The ISI Admit card 2021 will be available online on the official website of the institute.

Applicants can download the admit card after applying for the exam thru the application form.

  • The admit card is the essential document which must be with the applicants before they step up to appear in the exam.
  • It will have all the details of the applicants as their name, exam centre and the state and timing of the examination

ISI 2021 Result

In fact, the principal part of the whole admission process is the announcement of the result which all the candidates eagerly wait for. The result of the exam will also be available on the official website of the university. All the candidates who have appeared in the examination can see and check the result there.

Counselling  

The last but the most crucial part of the examination is counseling. Candidates, who qualify the exam, will be eligible to appear for the counseling. They will have to present their credentials before the admission board. After all, they can take admission for the desired programme which they have applied in the application for.
