IBPS RRB 2024: Application Form, Exam Date, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus

ibps rrbIBPS RRB 2024 exam will be conducted to shortlist candidates for various posts including Officers Scale, Officers Scale II and III, Office Assistant in the participating Regional Rural Banks. Depending on their interest and eligibility, candidates can apply for the posts of Group A Officers (Scale I, II & III) and Group B Office Assistant (Multipurpose). Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in pre and main exam and interview (as applicable). The process will begin with the release of application form in June 2024 (tentatively).

Keep in Mind

  • Application form, admit card and result will be released only in the online mode on IBPS website.
  • A valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the declaration of results, is mandatory for registration.
  • For Officer Scale II and III, single exam will be conducted and for Office Assistant/ Officer Scale I both pre and main exam will be held.
  • A candidate can apply for the Post of Office Assistant and also for the Post of Officer (only one post- Scale I or II or III).
  • Interview will be conducted only for post of Officers (Scale I, II and III).
  • For Officers in Scale I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose), the provisional allotment shall be restricted within the RRBs of the State opted for.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate should fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria for IBPS RRB 2024:

Nationality:

The candidates should be:

  • Citizen of India
  • Subject of Nepal
  • Subject of Bhutan
  • Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
  • Person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam for permanently settling in India.

Age limit (as on 1st June 2024):

  • For Officer Scale III (Senior Manager): Minimum age should be 21 years and maximum age 40 years.
  • For Officer Scale II (Manager): Minimum age should be 21 years and maximum age 32 years.
  • For Officer Scale I (Assistant Manager): Minimum age should be 18 years and maximum age 30 years.
  • For Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Minimum age should be 18 years and maximum age 28 years.

Relaxation in upper age will be given as follows:

Educational criteria:

Office Assistant Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or equivalent is required. None
Officer Scale I (Assistant Manager)
Officer Scale II (General Banking Officer (Manager)) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is required. 2 years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution
Officer Scale III (Senior Manager) 5 years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution
Officer Scale-II (Specialist Officers (Manager)) Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (MBA for Treasury Manager/ Marketing Officer) or its equivalent is required. 1 year in the relevant field (2 years for law officer)

IBPS RRB 2024 Application Form

The candidates can apply online for IBPS RRB 2024. The application is expected to be released in the month of June 2024. The candidates will have to first register themselves and after that they can fill the application form.

  • Personal and academic information such as name, father’s name, gender, date of birth, qualifying exam details, etc will be asked in the application form.
  • Applicants will also have to upload their photograph and signature in scanned format in the form.
  • All the details must be provided carefully as incomplete or incorrect forms are liable for rejection.
  • Submission of the filled-in application form along with the application fee can be done online.
  • Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form at the end of the process.

IBPS Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for IBPS RRB 2024 is given below:

  • Mode of exam: Online
  • Medium of test: English & Hindi both (except for language section)
  • Type of questions: Objective type
  • Negative marking: For every wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted

Admit Card

  • The candidates who submit their application in time will be able to download their admit card from IBPS website.
  • To download the admit card, candidates will have to provide their registration number and password/ date of birth.
  • In the admit card, basic details of the candidate and the exam will be mentioned.
  • Any candidate without a valid admit card/ call letter will not be allowed to take their exam.
  • Separate admit card will be released for preliminary exam, main exam and interview.

Result & Provisional Allotment

  • The result of the exam and the interview will be declared on the IBPS website.
  • Candidates who clear the online exam will be eligible for interview (wherever applicable).
  • Depending on the performance of the candidates and the vacancies, a merit list of the candidates will be prepared.
  • Candidates will be provided provisional allotment on the basis of their names in the list and their preference.
  • The provisional allotment is subject to the candidate fulfilling the criteria for RRBs and identity and document verification.
  • Issuance of offer of appointment, formalities for verification, joining etc will be sole decision of the RRBs.
