Step 1: You can download the application form by visiting the official website of Doon School i.e. http://www.doonschool.com/admissions/apply-now/.

Step 2: Further, you need to pay the registration fee (as prescribed) through Demand Draft or Cheque in favour of “The Headmaster, The Doon School” payable at Dehradun or you can make the payment online.

Step 3: Further, you need to mail the scanned copies of duly filled application form, birth certificate of your son and online payment receipt to Mr. Madan Kothari, Head of Admissions, admissions@doonschool.com.

Fees @The Doon School

For Indian residents

The current school fee is Rs. Rs. 10,25,000/- per annum along with an estimated incidental expenses are around Rs. 25,000/- per term. You also need to pay a security deposit (refundable) amounting Rs.4,00,000/- at the time of admission. A one-time admission fee of Rs.4,00,000/- also needs to be paid.

Here is the school fee for NRIs/Foreign Nationals:

  • School fee: Rs. 12,81,000/-per annum
  • Admission fee: Rs. 6,40,500/- at the time of admission (equal to one term’s fee)
  • A security deposit: Rs. 6,40,500/-at the time of admission (equal to one term’s fee)
  • Advance fee for incidentals: Rs. 50,000 – per term

Note: You can register your son any time upon his birth. Your registration is considered successfully upon

  • Submitting a certificate copy of Birth certificate;
  • Registration fee payment through the Demand draft.

*A successful registration doesn’t guarantee admission of your ward.

Admission Process

Scholarship @Doon School

The Doon School offers scholarship based on students’ performance in the entrance exam followed by an interview. The school welcomes parents to raise a request for their ward to become part of the scholarship offered by the school subject to his performance in the entrance examination.

Ques: Kindly explain the process for making an application for financial aid and demonstrating a parent’s need?

Ans: If you son has passed the entrance exam followed by an interview then you need to complete a form available at the Head of Admissions. The form requires you to submit a comprehensive report of your financial affairs, along with joint family income. The school committee will judge your form in every possible mean as they want to give this benefit to parents who actually need it.

Existing Scholarships for Doon School Admission 2024

Here are the existing scholarships for The Doon School admission 2024:

  • The Doon School Scholarships: Given based on the income of the parent. The financial amount will depend upon the overall income of the parent.
  • Asha Sharma (née Sarin) Scholarship Fund: Two scholarships can be provided up to 50% of the tuition fee to the needy candidates.
  • Batch of 1987 Scholarship: Financial aid is to be provided to the descendents of the Batch of 1987 for a period of six years.
  • The Anubha Bishnoi Foundation Scholarship: It’s a combined merit and financial aid scholarship given to a student having exceptional performance in co-curricular activities. It can cover up to 50% of the prescribed school fee.
  • DOSCENT UK Full Scholarship: Given to a student from an impoverished background.
  • Dr Surinder Kapur Memorial Science Scholarship: It can cover 50% of the tuition fee for students who are exceptional in Science including Mathematics in class 10th board and is pursuing a combination of sciences at Class XI and XII.
  • Gagan Mathur Trust: Awarded based on merit
  • Jaidev Singh Memorial Scholarship: Awarded to a student who achieved maximum marks in Science in any form.
  • Jaipur House Platinum Jubilee Bond Scholarship Fund: This is particularly for Jaipur House students.
  • The Jean & Eric Simeon Scholarship: Financial aid to be given to a student who can show up his ability.
  • C. Mahindra Education Trust: For students who are toppers in their academics.
