CUCET 2022: Application Form (6 April), Syllabus, Eligibility Criteria, Exam pattern

CUCETCentral Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2022 will be held to select candidates for admissions into different participating universities. Admissions will be granted into different UG and PG courses such as B.Tech, BBA, MBA, M.Sc and Ph.D courses as well. The National Testing Agency manages the admission process through CUCET. The candidates interested in admissions in different central universities can submit their application online. The application form has been released on 6th April 2022. CUCET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

The following educational criteria need to be fulfilled by the CUCET 2022 aspirants:

For undergraduate courses:

  • BTech: The candidates should have passed their class 12th or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • BBA: A pass in class 12th or equivalent exam is required.
  • BPA: Those who have passed their class 12th or equivalent exam are eligible to apply.
  • BA in International Relations: The applicants who clear their class 12th or equivalent exam are eligible.

For postgraduate courses:

  • MA in Contemporary and Tribal Customary Law: The candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Arts/ Humanities/ Commerce can apply.
  • LLM: Bachelors degree in law with at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ ST candidates) is required.
  • MA in Mass Communication: The applicants with bachelor’s degree in any discipline are eligible to apply.
  • M.Ed: Those with bachelor’s degree and/ or in the master’s degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanity or BE/ B.Tech with specialization in Science and Mathematics or equivalent are eligible.
  • M.Sc in Mathematics: Minimum 3-year bachelor’s degree with Mathematics/ Statistics is required with Mathematics as a subject in all the three years
  • Tech in Energy Engineering: Applicants with BE/ B.Tech degree in Agricultural or Civil Engineering are eligible to apply.
  • PG Diploma in Computer Science & Technology: The applicants should hold B.Sc (Hons/ Major) or a postgraduate degree in CS/ IT, MCA/ BCA, BE/ B.Tech in CSE/ IT.
  • MBA: Those with graduation in any discipline are eligible to apply.

For Ph.D courses:

  • PhD in Hindi: The candidates with MA degree in Hindi and 55% marks in aggregate (50% for OBC/ SC/ ST candidates) can apply.
  • PhD in Mass Communication: Those with a Master’s degree in Communication/ Mass Communication/ Journalism/ Electronic Media/ Media/ Film/ Advertising/ Public Relations/ New Media/ Development Communication and 55% marks in aggregate (50% for OBC/ SC/ ST candidates) are eligible.
  • PhD in Mathematics: The candidates who hold a Masters or M.Phil degree in Mathematics with 55% marks in aggregate (50% for OBC/ SC/ ST candidates) can apply for admissions.
  • PhD in Physics: Masters degree or M.Phil in Physics/ Applied Physics with 55% marks in aggregate (50% for OBC/ SC/ ST candidates) is required to be eligible.

CUCET Application Form 2022

The CUCET application form 2022 is available in online mode. The candidates can fill and submit their form by visiting the official website. (https://cucet.nta.nic.in/)

  • In the form, the applicant will have to provide their personal and educational details such as name, mobile number, date of birth, gender, qualifying exam passing year, marks obtained, etc.
  • The candidates will also have to upload their photograph and signature in scanned format into the application form.
  • After providing all details in the form, the candidates can submit it with the application fee prescribed.
  • The candidates must also keep a copy of the application form with them in case of future use.
  • Through the single application form, the candidates can apply to three different universities. However, additional application fee will be applicable.

Application fee:

  • The application fee can be paid via net banking/ debit card/ credit card or through Challan.
  • The application fee will be Rs. 800/- for General/ OBC candidates and Rs. 350/- for SC/ ST candidates.
  • PWD Candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

CUCET Exam Pattern 2022

The exam pattern for CUCET 2022 is provided below:

  • Mode of examination: Computer Based Test
  • Duration of the exam: 120 minutes
  • Number of questions: 100
  • Type of questions: Objective type
  • Marking scheme: 1 mark will be given for each correct answer.
  • Negative marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • Question paper parts: 2
    • Part A: 25 questions from English Language, General Awareness, Mathematical Aptitude and Analytical Skills.
    • Part B: 75 questions from the topics related to domain knowledge. These 75 questions can be divided into one or more sections.

CUCET 2022 Admit Card

  • The admit card to appear in the entrance exam will be released on the official website.
  • The candidates should download and take a printout of the admit card and carry it to the exam center.
  • Candidates without a valid admit card will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.
  • In the admit card, the details of the exam, center and timing, will be mentioned.
  • The candidates must preserve their admit card till the whole process of admission is over.

CUCET 2022 Result & Counseling

CUCET 2022 counselling process will be held in online mode. The participating universities will conduct the counselling session in online mode. The official schedule for CUCET counselling will be released at the official website of concerned authority. Candidates are required to register for the counselling before the given deadline. Based on choices filled by candidates, the universities release admissions lists along with the merit lists

  • The result of the entrance exam will be declared in online mode most probably in the month of May 2022.
  • The candidates will be able to check their result using their roll number and date of birth.
  • On the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the exam, merit lists will be drawn
  • For admissions into different courses, separate merit lists will be prepared.
  • On the basis of the merit list, counseling of the candidates will be held.
  • During counseling, the documents and eligibility conditions of the candidates will be verified.
  • After successful verification, the candidates will be allotted seats according on their rank and choice made by them.
