CENTACThe Centralized Admission Committee will conduct CENTAC PG 2022 to select candidates for admission into different postgraduate courses offered by the institutes of Pondicherry. Enrolment will be given into various courses like M.Tech, M.Pharma, LLM, MA, M.Sc, M.Com, etc based on the interest and eligibility of the candidates. Application form for admission will be released online hopefully in June 2022. Method of selection will be different for different courses. Major Highlights of CENTAC PG Exam 2022

  • Final selection of candidates will be done only after their certificates and eligibility are verified by the committee.
  • Candidates must make sure to submit an error-free application form or else their candidature might be rejected.
  • Hard copy of application or any other documents must not be sent to the CENTAC office.
  • The candidates must check their eligibility for the course they wish to apply for before filling their applications.
  • Applicants found to be ineligible at any stage will lose their candidature and any submitted fee will not be refunded.
  • Failure to attend any process of selection procedure will lead to disqualification of the candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

The course-wise eligibility criteria for CENTAC PG 2022 are given below:

  • LLM.: Candidates should have passed 3-year/ 5-year BL/ LL.B degree of any recognized university or its equivalent with not less than 45% of marks in aggregate.
  • M.Sc (Horticulture): A degree in B.Sc (Ag.)/ B.Sc (Hort.)/ B.Sc (Forestry)/ B.Tech (Ag. Biotech)/ B.Tech (Hort.) with an OGPA of 3.25 out of 4.00 or 7.50 out of 10.00 or 75% is required.
  • Pharma: Those with a B.Pharma degree with minimum 55% of aggregate marks (50% for SC/ ST candidates) from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and AICTE are eligible.
  • MPT: The candidates should hold 3-year BPT degree from a recognized university and 6 months of compulsory rotatory internship. The minimum aggregate marks in the qualifying exam should be 55% (50% for SC/ ST candidates).
  • M.V.Sc: B.V.Sc & A.H. degree recognized by Veterinary Council of India with a minimum OGPA of 6.0 in 10.0 point scale (5.5 for SC/ ST candidates) is required.
  • MBA: The applicants should hold a bachelors’ degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for candidates belonging to reserved category).
  • MCA: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Commerce/ Corporate Secretary-ship/ Business Administration Economics/ with Mathematics/ Business Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications as one of the subjects OR Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates) is required.
  • Phil Degree in Physics: Applicants should hold an M.Sc degree in Physics or Materials Science & Technology with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in the qualifying exam or equivalent CGPA.
  • Sc. in Material Science & Technology: Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as major subjects or with Physics as main subject & Chemistry and Mathematics as ancillaries or with Chemistry as main subject & Physics and Mathematics as ancillaries OR Bachelor’s Degree in Science- Applied Science OR B.Sc Electronics Science with Physics & Mathematics as ancillaries OR B.Sc Ceramics Technology/ Polymer Technology with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate is mandatory.
  • Tech: The candidates should have a BE/ B.Tech degree or equivalent in the relevant field from a recognized university with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
  • MSW: The candidates with bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks can apply.
  • Com: Those with a B.Com degree are eligible for admission in M.Com.
  • Sc in Plant Science: B.Sc in Plant Science/ Botany is required to be eligible.
  • Sc in Chemistry: Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry scoring a minimum of 55% marks can apply.
  • MA in Economics: BA in Economics or any other degree approved as equivalent by the Pondicherry University is required.
  • MA in French: BA in French or any other degree approved as equivalent by the Pondicherry University is required.

Application Form

The CENTAC PG application form 2022 will be released tentatively in the month of June 2022 in online mode. Candidates will be able to obtain their application form by visiting the official website www.centacpuducherry.in.

  • Candidates can fill the application form by providing their personal details such as name, father’s name, mobile number, gender, category, etc.
  • Academic details such as qualifying exam passing year, university name, marks obtained, etc will also be asked in the application form.
  • Scanned copies of candidates’ photograph, signature and other important documents need to be uploaded in the form.
  • The applicants will also have to provide in the application form their course preference and choice for exam center (if conducted).
  • Duly filled application form can then be submitted along with the required application form.
  • After successful submission, the candidates should take a printout of the application form and keep it for future reference.

Application fee:

  • Payment of application fee can be done online using debit card/ credit card/ net banking.
  • The non-refundable application fee for CENTAC PG will be Rs. 1000/- for general/ OBC candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ ST candidates.

Selection Process

  • Selection of candidates for admission into different courses will be done on the basis of qualifying exam, national level exam and entrance test (as applicable).
  • For M.Tech and M.Pharma, selection will be done on the basis of their GATE and GPAT score respectively.
  • Admission into MCA/ MBA/ M.Sc courses will be given on the basis of candidates’ performance in qualifying exam.
  • Entrance exam will be conducted to select the candidates for admissions into M. Sc. (NURSING), M.V.Sc and MPT courses.
  • After the candidates are shortlisted, they will be invited to take part in document verification process.
  • Once the documents of the candidates are verified, they will be granted final admission.
