BHU LLB Entrance Test 2022

Admission into LLB and BA LLB programs offered by BHU will be offered on the basis of entrance test. This entrance test will be conducted at university level and is expected to be held in the month of May 2022. Interested candidates who also fulfill the eligibility criteria can fill and submit their applications in online mode. The application form will be released tentatively in the month of January 2022. Main Highlights of  BHU Law 2022 Entrance  Test

  • The process of application will be completely online and there is no need to send any document to the office of BHU.
  • Only the candidates who submit their application on time will be able to download their admit card.
  • Any discrepancy in the admit card must be corrected by contacting the Office of the Controller of Examinations.
  • Candidates in final year of their qualifying exam are also eligible to appear in the entrance test.
  • The candidates are suggested to ensure their eligibility before applying for exam as application fee once submitted will not be refunded.

BHU Law Entrance Exam Pattern 2022

  • Marking scheme: 3 marks will be given for every correct answer
  • Negative marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for BHU LLB 2022 are given as:

BA LLB (Hons.):

  • Age limit (as on 1st July 2022): The age of the candidates should not be more than 20 years for general category candidates and 22 years for OBC/ SC/ ST candidates.
  • Educational qualification: The applicants should have cleared their class 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized university. A minimum of 50% marks for general category candidates, 45% for OBC and 40% for SC/ ST candidates is also required.

LLB (Hons.):

  • Age limit: The upper age limit as on 1st July 2022 is 30 years (35 years for SC/ ST candidates) for LLB (Hons.) programme.
  • Educational qualification: Those with BA/ B.Sc/ B.Com/ Shastri degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate of all the subjects studied in 3 years are eligible. The candidates with any other degree as recognized by the Bar Council of India can apply too.

Note: The applicant who have done 10+2 or graduation (as applicable) from open universities without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies will not be eligible for admission.

BHU LAW Application Form 2022

The application form for BHU LLB 2022 exam will be released on the official website of university. The candidates will first have to register themselves by providing basic details like name, email id and phone number.

  • After successful registration, the candidates will have to fill an authentication form.
  • Candidates can obtain the application form once the authentication process is completed successfully.
  • Basic personal and educational information related to the candidates will be asked in the application form.
  • Applicants will also have to upload their photograph and signature in scanned format in the application form.
  • Once all the information is entered in the application form, the candidates can submit it along with the application fee.
  • The applicants should take a printout of the submitted application form and keep it safe for future reference.

Application fee:

  • Candidates will have to make payment of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC/ ST/ PH candidates) as application fee.
  • Payment of fee can be done via credit card/ debit card or in cash using Challan in any branch of HDFC Bank.

Admit Card

  • Admit card will be available for download on the website www.bhuonline.in one week before the exam.
  • Using the unique registration id and password/ date of birth, the candidates will be able to download their admit card.
  • Candidates facing any difficulty in downloading their admit card should contact Office of the Controller of Examinations.
  • A printout of the admit card along with a photograph pasted on it must be carried to the exam center.
  • The admit card will also be required at the time of admission and therefore must be preserved even after exam.

Result

  • The result of the LLB entrance test is supposed to be announced in the month of June 2022.
  • Candidates will be able to check their result from the entrance test portal of BHU www.bhuonline.in.
  • An overall merit list and a category-wise merit list will be drawn as per the marks obtained in the entrance test.
  • Marks scored, overall merit and category-wise merit will be sent to the candidates on their registered mobile number.
  • Counseling of the successful candidates will be done according to their merit in the test.

Counseling & Admission

  • Call letter for counseling will be sent to the candidates on the registered mobile number and will also be released on the official website.
  • The date and time of reporting for counseling will be indicated in the call letter.
  • Candidates must carry their documents in original and photocopy for verification.
  • Seats will be allotted to the candidates after their certificates and eligibility are verified.
  • After seat allotment, the candidates will have to make payment of admission fee and download the allotment letter.
  • The candidates need to complete all the formalities in time or else they will forfeit their seats.
