APSC Assistant Engineer (AE) Recruitment 2019-20: Total Posts 148

Assam Public Service Commission has released a recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical) under Public Health Engineering Department and Agricultural Development Officer under Agriculture Department. The total number of posts is 33 (Thirty Three) nos for AE and 115 nos for Agricultural Development Officer. The last date for receiving of duly-filled application form is 8th February 2019. Interested candidates must verify their eligibility before they apply for the exam.

Eligibility Criteria for APSC AE Recruitment 2019

Scale of Pay: Rs. 30,000/- 110000/- (PB-4) with Grade pay of Rs. 12,700/- plus other allowances as Admissible under the Rules.

Here is the basic eligibility criteria defined to apply for APSC Assistant Engineer recruitment 2019:

Age Criteria: The age of a candidate must not be less than 21 years and not more than 38 year as on 1st January 2018. Relaxations in the upper age have been provided in the following way:

  • SC/ST: 5 years i.e. upto 43 years
  • OBC/MOBC candidates: 3 years i.e. upto 41 years
  • Persons with Disabilities (PWD): 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and General Category of candidates

The age limit would be calculated according to candidates’ Matriculation /HSLC Admit Card/ Certificate.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have obtained a degree in their respective disciplines Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering from an Indian or Foreign University recognized by Govt. or AMIE(Part A & B Passed).

Eligibility Criteria and Pay Scale for Agricultural Development Officer

Scale of Pay: Rs. 30,000/- 1,10,000/- (PB-4) with Grade pay of Rs. 12,700/- plus other allowances as Admissible under the Rules

Number of posts: 115

The pre-defined eligibility requirements for Agricultural Development Officer are as follows:

Age Criteria: The age of a candidate must not be less than 21 years and not more than 38 year as on 1st January 2018. Relaxations in the upper age have been provided in the following way:

  • SC/ST: 5 years i.e. upto 43 years
  • OBC/MOBC candidates: 3 years i.e. upto 41 years
  • Persons with Disabilities (PWD): 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and General Category of candidates

The age limit would be calculated according to candidates’ Matriculation /HSLC Admit Card/ Certificate.

Educational Qualification: A candidates must hold a B.Sc (Agriculture) or its equivalent degree should be recognized by the Govt. of Assam.

How to Apply for APSC Assistant Engineer Recruitment 2019

  • The respective post you applied must be written in bold letter in the Envelope containing the application form and it needs to be addressed to the Deputy Secretary, APSC, Jawaharnagar, Khanapara, Guwahati-781022.
  • Candidates can also obtain the application form by visiting the official website apsc.nic.in.
  • The duly filled application forms of candidates must be received in the Commission’s office till 08th February 2019 during office hours. Applications received after the last date would be considered invalid.
  • Applications, duly-filled and signed by candidates are only considered for further evaluation based on which candidates will be called for screening test / Viva-voce interview as decided by the commission.

Application Fee

  • For General Candidate : Rs.250/- (Rupees two hundred and fifty) only.
  • For SC/ST/OBC/MOBC : Rs.150/- (Rupees one hundred and fifty) only.
  • Candidates with BPL Certificate: Nil (they need to producer photocopy of certification with application form).

Candidates can deposit the fee through Treasury Challan in the Head of Account “NON TAX REVENUE, OTHER NON TAX REVENUE 0051 PSC, 105 STATE PSC APPLICATION FEE RECEIPT OF APSC” showing name of post and department. The original copy of challan must be enclosed along with the application form.

How to fill APSC AE Application Form?

  • Students need to affix one copy of your recently taken photograph on the space provided in the form and anther copy needs to be enclosed along with the application form. The photograph must be signed properly.
  • Candidates won’t be responsible for any mistakes committed in the application form.

WRITTEN TEST / INTERVIEW

If the authority receives more number of application forms:

  1. The commission may shortlist candidates by considering the qualifying marks achieved by them in the qualifying exam. Or,
  2. By conducting multiple choice OMR based Screening test or written examination which will be notified in due course.
