AP Polycet 2022- Application Form (Released), Important Dates, Syllabus, Exam Pattern

Candidates seeking admission into diploma courses into engineering/ non-engineering field can apply for AP Polycet 2022. The application form is now available in online mode from 11th April 2022. Selection of the candidates into diploma courses will be done on the basis of entrance exam that will be held on 20th May 2022. The exam will be held in pen and paper based mode. Important Highlights – AP Polycet 2022

  • Candidates hoping for admission into the Hotel Management & Catering Technology and D.Pharma courses need not appear for entrance exam. Details for admission in these courses will be provided separately.
  • The hardcopy of the application form filled online must be submitted at the nearest helpline center before the last date.
  • Hall ticket is an important document and shall be preserved carefully after the examination till the admission process is completed.
  • Urdu medium candidates will be allotted separate center in each region where assistance will be provided for translation during the exam.
  • No request for revaluation or re-totaling of the final result will be entertained under any circumstances.

AP Polycet Exam Pattern 2022

  • Mode of exam: Offline
  • Duration of exam: 2 hours
  • Question paper language: Bilingual (Telugu & English both). Urdu question paper will be provided to the candidates who request for the same in their application. Exam city in this case will be either Guntur or Nandyal.
  • Type of questions: Objective type
  • Number of questions: 120
  • Marking scheme: 1 mark will be given for each right answer.
  • Negative marking: There will be no negative marking.

AP Polycet 2022 Syllabus

The syllabus of the exam will cover topics from subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of class 10th level.

Eligibility Criteria

The following are the eligibility criteria required to appear for the AP Polycet exam 2022:

Age limit:

  • There is no age restriction for appearing for the entrance exam.

Nationality:

  • Candidates of Indian nationality are eligible to apply.

Domicile:

  • Candidate should belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh.

Qualification:

  • Candidates should have passed SSC exam of State Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana with Mathematics as one of the subjects, and obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates who have passed the equivalent exam are also eligible given that they have passed in all subjects including Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry, with minimum of 35% marks in each subject.
  • Candidates who are appearing in their qualifying exam in the year 2020 can also appear.
  • A pass in class 12th is necessary for admission into the Hotel Management & Catering Technology and D.Pharma courses.

AP Polycet 2022 Application Form

The application form for the AP Polycet 2022 can be filled in online mode. Candidates can obtain the application form from the official website polycetap.nic.in or sbtetap.gov.in or aponline.gov.in.

  • In the application form, the candidates will have to provide details such as name, father’s name, date of birth, class 10th hall ticket number, year of passing, etc.
  • Details of address, choice for exam center, category details, request for Urdu question paper should also be provided into the form.
  • Declaration with regard to your physical fitness to pursue the Polytechnic courses will also be signed in the form.
  • A printout of the filled-in application form should be taken and affixed with a photograph.
  • The hardcopy of the form should then be submitted to the computer operator at the nearest Aponline/ Meeseva/ Payment Gateway/ Net Banking/ Help Line center.

Application fee:

  • The application fee for the polytechnic entrance exam will be Rs. 350/-.
  • Candidates can submit the application fee along with the application form in the form of cash payment.

Admit Card

  • The admit card will be issued to the candidates by the computer operator at the helpline center after the operator successfully enters the data in the application form and upload the photograph and signature.
  • Candidates will have to verify the entry of the admit card and after confirmation by the candidate, final admit card/ hall ticket will be generated.
  • Applicants will also be able to download their admit card online by visiting the website apceep.nic.in.
  • Admit card with correct details should be carried to the exam center in order to appear for the exam.
  • In absence of a valid admit card, the candidates will not be allowed to take their exam.

Result

  • The result of the written exam will be made available with the Principals of all polytechnics supposedly in the month of May 2022.
  • Ranking will be given to the candidates who score marks more than the specified qualifying marks.
  • The ranking will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test.
  • Rank cards will also be dispatched within a week from the date of declaration of results.
  • The rank card can also be downloaded from the website polycetap.nic.in or sbtetap.gov.in
  • SC/ ST candidates will be assigned a ranking despite of the marks obtained by them in the entrance test.
  • Such candidates can compete for their category of seats even if they do not score the qualifying marks.

Counseling

  • The detailed program of counseling will be notified in the leading newspapers and on the website apceep.nic.in.
  • Applicants called on each day for counseling shall attend with all original certificates and documents for verification at any one of the designated venues.
  • At the time of counseling, the candidates will be allowed to provide choice for course and institute.
  • Based on their rank and choice, seats will be allotted to the candidates. Candidates who are allotted a seat will have to download the allotment order and Challan for payment of fee.
  • Candidates will then have to report at the allotted college along with the allotment order and fee paid Challan within the prescribed time.
  • Those failing to report for the admission will forfeit their seats and their candidature will be cancelled.

Important Documents

The following documents must be carried by the candidates at the time of reporting for counseling:

  • Memo of Marks of SSC or equivalent
  • Conduct Certificate from Head of the Institution where last studied
  • Transfer Certificate to be produced within a week from the date of seeking
  • Admission
  • Community Certificate (BC/ SC/ ST candidates)
  • Medical Certificate (PWD candidates)
  • Date of Birth certificate
  • Hall ticket and rank card of Polycet 2022
  • Certificate of study for the entire period of education from Class IV to X
  • Certificate of Residence for 7 years immediately preceding the date of commencement of relevant qualifying examination (candidates who appeared for the qualifying examination privately, without schooling)
  • Certificate for a period 10 years of residence, excluding the period of study outside the State, or in case of parent, excluding the period of employment outside the State (candidates who are not local to any one of the University area)
  • Certificate issued by competent authority in case of NCC Candidates
  • Parent’s discharge certificate from service in case of Children of Armed Personnel (CAP) and Service Certificate in case of serving personnel
  • Games and Sports Certificate (if any)
  • Physical Fitness Certificate
  • Income Certificate
  • Minority Community Certificate
