Eligibility Criteria

For M.Sc courses

  • Candidate should have passed the degree in the related stream with (10+2+3/4 years) pattern from a recognized University.
  • Applicants appearing in the final semester/year examination may also apply for admission.

5. Electronic Media (Self-Supportive) BCA / B.Sc. / B.E. / B.A. (Journalism)/ B.Tech.

For M.Phil degree program

  • Candidates must have done Master’s Degree in the related stream with 10+2+3+2 year’s pattern
  • Those who are appearing for final semester/year examination may also apply for admission

Application form: How to apply?

Interested and eligible candidate must fill up the application form very carefully and correctly. Application form will be available online at Anna University’s official website. Candidates can register themselves through online by visiting the official website of university. Fill the details as per the instructions given in the website. Take the print out of filled –in application form and submit it to “The Director, Centre for Admissions, Anna University, Chennai – 600025” with required enclosures and a DD of Rs. 700/- for the general category (Rs. 350/- for candidates from SC/ ST/ SCA category from Tamil Nadu) by post or in person. Candidates are advised to submit the application form before the due date. Incomplete applications or applications received after due date will not be considered.

List of documents require to be enclosed with application form

  • 10th class mark Sheet
  • 12th standard mark Sheet
  • Mark lists of UG Programme (all the semesters)
  • University Examination Hall Ticket
  • UG Degree Certificate or Provisional Certificate
  • Copy of Permanent Community Certificate issued by the authorized authority for BCM / BC / MBC / SCA / SC / ST candidates
  • Medical Certificate (if applicable)
  • Domicile Certificate (if applicable)

Admit card

Candidates, who have registered successfully, should download the admit card/hall ticket from Anna University website. If any applicant could not download the admit card by due date, then he/she must report to the enquiry office at the Centre for Entrance Examinations, Anna University, Chennai – 25, along with a self-attested copy of their passport size photograph and proof for having applied for M. Sc. /M. Phil. course. After verification, the authority will be issued a Hall Ticket to the candidate (if eligible).

Selection process

Candidates will have to qualify the entrance examination organized by Anna University for both M.Sc and M.Phil courses. Selected candidates will be called for a counselling process on the basis on their performance in the entrance examination.
