Anna University Admission Process
A common entrance test i.e. Tamil Nadu Professional Courses Entrance Examination (TNPC EE) was conducted for offering admission to various professional programmes in the state of Tamil Nadu until 2006. For PG Courses admissions, TNEA scores will be considered.
About the university
Established in the year 1978, Anna University is a well known technical university in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The University’s main campus is located in Guindy, Chennai. Anna University offers about 31 UG courses, 64 PG Programmes and 3 research courses in different streams. Admission to all the courses is through various entrance tests conducted by the university. Admission to the all the professional courses are held only once a year, whereas for Ph.D admission the process is organized twice a year i.e. January session and August session. In addition, the university organizes two of the most important state-level examinations i.e. TNEA and TANCET for the selection of candidates to the B.Tech and M.Tech./MBA courses, respectively.
